Elijah was looking around his study when both Milana and Tracy entered to join him. Tracy was still looking exhausted and defeated after the previous night's revelations while Milana just looked tired. Both women had decided to help them since it didn't look like Cami was going to give over the white oak trinket. Milana was pissed at Cami for taking it since not only was it the only thing that could kill the father of her child but it was also one of Hope’s favourite toys. She loved playing with it at night and now it was gone.
Milana couldn't remember when the last time she wanted to smash someone’s face into a wall to knock some sense into them like she wanted to do with Cami at that moment.
“Okay, so what's the plan? Cami's out there with the white oak stake, and I'm not gonna lose one more person that I care about,” Tracy stated sternly as she walked over to the couch, taking a seat as Elijah turned to face her.
“Niklaus can handle Camille. 'Til then, I'll keep Aya distracted,“ Elijah answered her before pulling out what looked like an ornately carved wooden scroll cover out of his desk drawer.
Milana furrowed her brows, hesitating for a moment before replying. “Why don't you just kill her?” Milana questioned the man.
Elijah froze, visibly embarrassed to answer her causing Milana's frown to deepen.“She and I have history,” Elijah finally admitted after a moment causing Tracy to raise her eyebrow, staring at him in disbelief.
“You two had a thing?” the hybrid asked, her tone laced with distaste and loathing at the Strix vampire that had kidnapped her. Elijah sighed, “Aya was a towering intellect with an insatiable curiosity. Passionate, fearless, and something of an outcast.” The two women listened intently.
Elijah did seem to love his intelligent woman, but how did he fall for Tracy of all people. She didn't exactly have the highest IQ.
“Long ago, I invited her...to join a rather elite company. I determined she was perfectly tailored to bear the responsibility of an immortal life. I made her like me,” Elijah reminisced, earning a nod of understanding from Milana as she made herself comfortable on the couch.
“She was one of the first Strix,” the hybrid concluded as Elijah nodded his head in confirmation.
“We cared for one another deeply,” The original vampire stated, looking ashamed by the revelation and what came afterward as he continued. “Together we created a fellowship unburdened by the limitations of man. It was the pursuit of a glorious new world.” Tracy furrowed her brows, sensing his sadness.
