It was already night-time and Cami was speeding down the road in the SUV. Hope was crying in Milana's arm as she tried to comfort the girl. She didn't understand what was going on but with how panicked the two women were she couldn't do anything but cry. After the explosion Milana had told Cami to immediately drive off. They needed to get far away from the safe house before whoever caused the explosion found them.
Milana had been grateful that they decided to go out today of all days. If they had stayed, they could've fallen victim to the explosion. The woman was still in a high over how everything happened. She didn't really know if the car shutting down was even Hope's doing. She was just grateful that they were alive.
Cami turned back looking panicked at them. The blonde tried to comfort the girl as well but it was no use. Milana had tried to give her her bottle but she kept on crying. She soothed the girl, kissing her forehead.
They needed to get in contact with Elijah, Klaus or even Rebekah.
"It's okay, sweetheart," Milana cooed to the girl while looking at Cami. "We just need to find a pay phone."
Cami finally found a run-down auto garage and pulled in. There was a car with its hood popped in the parking lot, but otherwise it was completely deserted. Once the car was parked, Cami goy out and Milana climbed out with Hope in her arms. They rushed toward the pay phone. Cami suddenly tripped and accidentally dropped all of her change onto the ground. Milana looked at Cami, who was panicking.
"Damn it!"
Hope started to cry harder, and Cami looked over at her with a guilty look. Milana kissed Hope's forehead. "Oh, I'm sorry! I'm sorry. You're being so brave, the least I can do is watch my--"
Cami cut herself off when she heard a metallic noise nearby and froze in place. Milana turned and handed Hope to Cami. Between the two of them, she had a better fighting chance than the blonde. Milana gulped nervously before raising her voice to call out to whoever is lurking nearby, "Whoever's out there, if you try anything, I will gouge out your eyes!"
Milana looked at Cami, but she turndd when she heard a voice behind them.
It was Elijah, whose clothes were burnt in places and whose body is covered in ash, but he was otherwise unscathed. "Actually, Milana, that's probably not necessary."
