A/N: sorry for not updating for so long akdjkxbdkdj-! but i have finally finished the next chapter :3
so this part will only be one scene, and the next one will be the actual chapter! i'm splitting this scene up from the rest of the chapter, cuz this scene happens right after the last one and the ones after that are a flashback ^^ but dw i'll be posting the part w the actual chapter asap after this one !!!

"Now that I've told you all you wanted to know," Izuku turned towards the door, "I'll be leaving now."

"Wait!" Once again, Katsuki grabbed Izuku's wrist to stop him from leaving. "You- Uhh, you haven't told me one thing yet."

Izuku rolled his eyes.
"What more do you want to know?! I've told you everything, haven't I?"

"Well, you said you'd only tell me these things under one condition." Katsuki was looking anywhere but Izuku's eyes.

"Yeah, and?" Izuku cocked an eyebrow, irritated.

"What's- that condition, what is it?" Katsuki's breathing was shallow, his heart was hammering too loudly.

"Oh. Have I not mentioned it?" Izuku's expression was more blank than it had been the entire evening. "Well, now that you know who my friends are, it should be obvious, don't you think?"

Katsuki looked at this classmate again, confusion obvious on his face.

Izuku sighed. "Do I really have to spell it out for you? Ugh, what a bother," Izuku's expression changed to a more irritated one. "Don't tell anyone what I told you today. You're dead if someone finds out through you. Understood?"

Katsuki's nod was all the answer he wanted. He immediately turned on his heel and walked towards the door.

Even if Izuku hadn't threatened him, Katsuki wouldn't have told anyone anyways. He lost Izuku once, and he'd make damn sure that he'll never lose him again.
No matter what it'd take.

"See you in class tomorrow," he said, waving at Katsuki. That wave was the most passive agressive wave Katsuki had ever seen. He swallowed.

Katsuki stayed on the roof a bit longer. He was still looking at the sky, thinking. He was thinking back to the conversation they'd just had.
He was relieved.

Izuku's alive. Katsuki knew that.
Izuku's alive. It sank in. Katsuki smiled.

Izuku's alive.

Katsuki's alive as well, that much is obvious. But finally, he felt like it again as well.
The fire coursing through his veins made him feel more alive than he could ever remember feeling before.

Izuku's alive. It was like a mantra in Katsuki's head. It was like a source of happiness. Katsuki was surprised he remembered how that felt.

He didn't know how long he stayed on the ceiling, but eventually he went back inside. He tried to sleep as well. He wasn't sure if he'd succeeded. He wasn't sure if it mattered.
