anyway- here's the new chapter :3

——

"Hey," Eijirou smiled at Katsuki as he saw him in the halls, "what's up?" He sounded far too happy for Katsuki. At first, the blonde had simply ignored his friend.

"I-is everything okay?" The red head got worried, because of course he did.

Katsuki muttered a short 'I'm fine,' before walking past the other. Eijirou was slightly confused about what could've happened. Sure, he knew that Katsuki hadn't been in a good mood recently, but he still wondered. He was still... worried.

He silently watched as Katsuki entered his room, and slammed the door shut. He looked at the closed door, that basically radiated negativity, for a few more moments, before he left.

Eijirou was worried about his friend, and he wanted to help, but he had no idea how he even could help.

After his conversation with Katsuki on the rooftop had terribly failed, he'd decided to go straight to his room. He couldn't be bothered to spend time with any of his new classmates. Especially not when he barely even knew them yet.

But as always, luck didn't seem to be on his side, because he'd walked into one of his classmates on his way.

"Oh, hey," he reluctantly greeted the other student back. Tenya smiled at him, with an energy the green haired student really couldn't relate to. He didn't remember the last time he genuinely had been that energetic.

"You wanted to talk to Bakugou, right? How'd it go?" He had really wanted to be annoyed that Tenya cared, but he couldn't- It felt wrong to be annoyed, when he seemed to genuinely want to know.. Almost like they were friends. Almost.

...Just almost.

"Oh, you remembered..?" He'd asked before he really thought about what he should say. He quickly followed it up by telling his classmate that it went quite well, actually. His voice, and smile were as bright as always. It almost felt like second nature to him to act so happy.

"Oh, I'm glad. Uraraka, and I want to study in the common room, would you like to join us?" Tenya asked, still acting like they'd been friends for years. He wanted to just say no, and leave, but he really wanted to know what having friends felt like. He wanted to experience it first-hand, before... Anyway. He nodded, still keeping up the happy façade, and came along.

He hoped it wasn't too obvious that he was just acting.

Katsuki sat down at his desk. He glanced at those two notes, and Izuku's old notebook No.13, which were both still lying sprawled out on his desk. He was almost disturbed by the similarity of the handwriting. Just like the last time he'd compared them.

It almost felt surreal. Actually, scratch that. It felt completely surreal. And unrealistic. And- impossible, almost.

But it was possible, obviously. Unless his eyes were playing tricks on him. But that couldn't be the case, right? Or could it? Katsuki certainly didn't know.

Maybe he just needed glasses.
Or maybe his eyes weren't actually deceiving him.

He got up again. He was at a loss, he felt completely lost. The recent events, even though they hadn't been particularly dangerous, were really getting to him. He walked in circles in his room, trying to understand... something, he wasn't quite sure what.

Ochako had been waiting for Tenya to return. He'd left a few minutes ago to retrieve a few textbooks from his room.
