It'd been a long day of school for everyone in Class 1-A. They were all still terribly worried about Katsuki, but the new student's arrival at least distracted them for the day.

He was a very nice guy, and he seemed to be getting along with everyone just fine. His quirk was super cool too! And on top of that, he had a very bright smile.

He fit in perfectly with the other students in the class. Uraraka and Iida befriended himalmost immediately.

His seat was right behind Katsuki's. Eijirou couldn't help but notice that it seemed like the new guy was looking for someone. Maybe he was just confused that the seat in front of him was empty? Maybe. Maybe not. Eijirou had no idea, none at all. he didn't find it suspicous or anything like that. It just... stood out to him, for some reason. He shrugged it off.

After class had ended for the day, and the students had all arrived at the dorm building again, Eijirou quickly headed upstairs. He wanted to get Katsuki out of his room, and to interact with the new guy.

Things didn't quite go as he had planned though, because when he knocked on his friend's door, no one answered. The door was unlocked. He slowly pushed it open, only to find the room completely empty. Katsuki was no where to be seen.

Eijirou stood wordlessly in the doorway for a few minutes. The more time passed, the more he worried about his friend. He wished he knew what was going on— or how he could help.

He kept staring into the empty, dark dorm room. Just as he was about to close the door, and head downstairs to the others again, he heard a familiar voice behind him.

"Oi, Shitty Hair, what're you doing in my room?" Katsuki was obviously trying to sound angry, intimidating. It didn't quite work.

Eijirou immediately turned around, a smile on his face, relived that his friend was fine.

Katsuki walked past him, into his room. "So," he began, "I still wanna know what the fuck you were doing in my room." Katsuki sounded more annoyed than before. the undertones of sadness were still clear as day, though.

"I wasn't actually in your room," the red head chuckled, "I was just looking for you. So you'd meet the new student!" Eijirou's smile was only partly forced, he was still worried, but he was telling the truth.

Reality slapped that smile out of his face when Katsuki almost yelled. "No, I won't meet that fucking extra." Katsuki was about to slap his door closed, but his friend had stopped him.

"Wait! Uhh," he looked around frantically, "you don't have to meet him, I guess. But I'm sure you'd get along— He's really nice! And I thought— I thought that might be a good distraction for you..?"

"What the heck do I need to be distracted from?" Katsuki obviously was in a terrible mood. Worse than usually.

"Well... We both know that you haven't really been doing very well recently, and— And I don't know what's up, but whatever it is, that's what you need a distraction from!" Eijirou didn't completly know what he was trying to accomplish, but whatever it was, it didn't seem to be working very well.

Katsuki rolled his eyes. "Fine. I'll go meet that guy. But not today," he wasn't as snarky anymore, nor as loud. He quickly closed his door before his friend was able to get another word in.
