Chapter Fourteen

It's been a few weeks and Panthera was completely healed. Panthera packs up everything for Katy and leaves in the middle of the night. She quickly shifts mid run and runs into the woods. Panthera runs until morning before she stops and makes a small fire, leaving Katy next to it asleep. She runs off and quickly hunts, getting a few rabbits. She runs back and starts cooking them, feeding Katy a bottle. She quickly eats before getting up and running again. She didn't want Connor to catch up so she didn’t stop unless absolutely necessary. She finally gets to the mountains two days later and Leon runs up to her. “What are you doing here?” he asks. Panthera shifts and grabs Katy in her arms. “Katy got dropped on my adoptive parents' doorstep and they didn't want me or her so I came here.” Panthera says. Leon puts his arm around her and shows her around.  They get to his house and he lets her in. “Oh? Who's this Leon?” His mother asks him. Leon explains and his mom pulls Panthera in for a hug. “Let me show you to your room.” she says. She leads Panthera to a small blue room. She sits down on the bed and lays Katy down. Leons' mom walks in and hands her some clothes. “Thank you Mrs. Dawn.” Panthera says. “Oh no, call me Nicky.” She says. “Oh, well then thank you Nicky.” Panthera says. She changes into the pajamas and falls asleep with Katy in her arms.
