Chapter Thirty One

They repeat that all week and on Friday, something changes. “We have to go to London for a funeral. Your uncle passed away.” Candance says to Connor. “What? No, mom, I can't!” Connor says. “Why?” Candance asks. “What about Luna?” Connor asks. Panthera goes in front of him and sits. She licks his face. “See, she says you need to go.” Candance says. “Really?” Connor says, sceptical. Panthera nods and Connor sighs. “Fine.” he groans. Panthera licks his cheek and walks to his room. “Go pack, we leave in an hour.” Candance says. Connor runs to his room to find Panthera with his suitcase in her mouth. “Are you trying to get rid of me?” Connor asks. Panthera shakes her head and Connor laughs. Connor walks over and takes the suitcase before starting to pack. A little while later, and he's done. “Hurry up Connor!” Candance yells from down the hall. “Coming!” Connor yells back. Connor grabs his suitcase and runs out. Panthera follows him. Candance, with Katy, and Connor get in the car and drive to the airport. Panthera shifts into a cat and follows them. She sits under a chair as she watches them board the plane. When they take off, Panthera runs home. She gets to the house and shifts. She grabs the key from under the awning and opens the door. She starts cleaning the house and when she is done, she starts cooking dinner for her. She finishes and eats before going to Connors room. She shifts into a cat and jumps up on the bed. She curls up next to the pillow, so she can have his scent.
