Panthera and the Ghostly Sister ✓

Chapter Twenty Five

Panthera sits on a cliff, her eyes now bright yellow, as she has given herself over to her panther side. She jumps off the cliff and into the lake below. She splashes into the water before coming back up. She swims around and climbs out. She hears a car coming and she runs towards the road. She runs to the road and a car comes with a mountain lion in front of it. Panther runs across it, earning a growl from the lion and two and screams. A head peeks out from the window of the car and recognition lights up on the boy's face. A woman's face pops out to the same look that crosses her face. Panthera growls and goes to run into the woods when the lion pounces on her. She growls and starts fighting, her panther instincts kicking in. The lion yelps out in pain as she claws his hind leg. He jumps back and the people step out of the car. Panthera bends down and growls at them. The lion jumps in front of them. Panthera stops and tilts her head before growling again. The lion gives Panthera a shocked look. Panthera’s human side tries to take back over but she doesn’t let it. She lunges towards the humans but the lion stops her. He jumps at her, hitting her stomach and she goes flying. She hits a tree but gets right back up and lunges again. “Luna! Stop!” the boy yells. Panthera stops and looks at him before she walks toward him. He walks forward but the lady stops him. Panthera stops and the boy pulls away from his mother. He walks toward Panthera. “It's me. It's Connor.” the boy says, extending his hand. Panthera sniffs and recognizes Connors scent. She licks his hand and he laughs. She turns around to Leon. “I'm so sorry. I let my panther side take over and I didnt even think.” Panthera says. Leon limps forward and Panthera goes over and licks his wound. “It's fine.” He says. He whimpers and shifts. Panthera bends downs and he climbs on her back. Panthera walks over to Connor and Candance and licks their hands. They get in the car and they drive off. Panthera gets in front and leads them. Leon grips her fur and groans. Panthera looks back and Candance nods. Panthera splits off and goes into the woods. She sets Leon down and shifts. She walks off and gets a big leaf, a stick and a vine and makes a make-shift splint. He gets back on her back and they go back to the car. The car stops and Leon gets off of Panthera. Connor helps him get inside the car and Panthera runs off. She runs through the woods, jumping over streams and from cliff to the cliff. She gets to the house at nightfall and they aren’t back yet. Panthera shifts and walks inside. She goes and starts cooking dinner for them.
