Two Months ago
Rebecca decided to finally agree to go out with her roommates for the first time. She came over to the states from Ireland to complete her education at one of the best colleges in the country.
"I can have one drink" Rebecca nodded
"Oh please" Jesse stated with a roll of her eyes as she passed the redhead a shot
"I'm serious" Rebecca nodded "One drink.. and then I have to go home and study" she said
"Just let loose tonight.. don't worry about school and assignments or projects.. be a regular college student for one night" Emma, her other roommate said
Be a regular college student..
Rebecca didn't do parties, she didn't do bars.. she stopped all of her rebellious behavior in her teenage years.
She was abandoned by her roommates who went off to the dance floor with two random men and she sat down at the bar next to him.
The dark-haired man looked over at her with a raised eyebrow
"Can I help you?" He questioned
"Oh my bad.. I can't sit next to you?" She asked and his mouth fell open, she was feisty
"No.. by all means" he nodded "but if you're going to sit next to me you have to at least tell me your name" he said and she stared at him
"Rebecca" she said
"Rebecca" he nodded with a smile "Colby" he held his hand out to shake hers which she politely shook his hand
One shot of tequila down, and then another, and then one more.
She was tipsy, she felt herself fading quickly but she still had her better judgement and decided to go home before she got carried away.
"Do you wanna do me a huge favor?" She asked and Colby looked over at her intrigued "My friends over there" she pointed to her roommates who were now back at their booth ordering more drinks "Are very convinced I can't just let loose for one night" she said and he nodded "Can you just pretend to come home with me so they will leave me alone when they come home tonight?" She asked and he laughed
"You want me to pretend to hook up with you?" He asked and her eyes met his and she nodded "Alright" he nodded and he threw his arm over her shoulder as they stood up from the bar and walked to the booth
Both Emma and Jesse's jaws dropped when they saw their roommate walking towards them with his arm around her.
"We're going home" Rebecca nodded
"Try not to interrupt us when you come home" Colby added with a wink as he reached for Rebecca's hand and began to lead her out of the bar
"GET AFTER IT!" Emma yelled and Rebecca felt herself blush hard
Arriving back at the apartment, Colby walked Rebecca to her door like a gentleman. He wasn't about to let her walk home on this side of town and he really wasn't going to let her walk to her door alone when he saw the men sitting out on their porches staring at her as she got out of his car.
He watched her unlock the door and turn around to face him as she opened the door behind her and stepped backwards into the apartment with a small smile.
"Thank you" she said with a nod
"Of course" he said and she felt his hands on her waist and her eyes widened
Call it the liquid courage or whatever you want but something gave her the courage to lean up and place a kiss on his lips before pulling away quickly but he captured her lips with his own just as quickly and she walked backwards into the apartment before she turned around to lean against the door
"We're just pretending to hook up" Rebecca said as she felt his lips move down to her neck and she pulled his face up with her hands gently
"Yeah" he nodded as he picked her up effortlessly and pressed her against the door harshly "Just pretending"
