"Isn't this just the most gorgeous dress you've ever seen?" The sales lady gushes, quickly coming over as she sees me looking at the gown.

"It is, I just think it's a little much." I admit, uncertain of where I'd even wear such a dress.

Hardin and I are having dinner, not going to a ball. It is stunning though, the lace is soft and delicate, and the material is clearly very high quality. The colour is gorgeous, and the style is just calling to me.

"Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world." The sales lady grins mischievously, picking up the heels from below the beautiful dress.

I glance at her with a smile growing on my face.

"I like the sound of that, I'll take them both." Is my response, all knowing exactly when and where I'll wear this dress.

"Fantastic! Is there anything else I can help you with?" She beams, so friendly that it makes me wonder if she's genuinely kind.

"I'm having dinner tonight and I need a dress, do you have anything that is both casual and sexy?" I ask hopefully, because let's face it, dresses aren't my strong point.

"I have just the thing, it's new in the store and the colour is just stunning." She gushes again, quickly leading me across the huge clothing store.

"Did you find a dress?" Hardin asks, his lips against mine in an almost bruising manor. I don't complain, rather liking his bold approach right now.

"I did." I confirm, pulling back just enough to reach into the bag and pull the dress into view.

It's a kind of light taupe colour, with a lace overlay of the actual dress which I just love. Hardin admires it for a moment, even if just to show some interest. Although I'm certain he'd much rather strip me out of it.

"What's this one?" He gestures to the larger bag, the first dress I'd fallen in love with set neatly within paper.

I smile secretively. "I've attended one event at the Elders headquarters in the last five years, and it didn't end well. I figured I'd make both a entrance, and a statement next time."

"What exactly is the statement?" He muses, reaching for the bag to peer inside.

I quickly snatch it away, grinning. "I guess you'll have to invite me to the next gathering to find out." I wink.

Yes, the Elders private headquarters is invitation only. I've always been invited by Luther himself, but considering how rocky our 'friendship' has been, I doubt I'll receive one this year. I suppose it'll make it all the more satisfying when I arrive, my dress alone demanding respect, and attention.

"Good thing it's only a month away." Hardin says, rather pleased by that.

He's always been a patient men in most aspects, it's a strange thing for a wolf to master patience, especially a Alpha. Me? I have little, although when I had my wolf I had none so I suppose it's progress.

We couldn't be anymore different, and yet so alike, although I have to admit we had more in common when I did have my wolf. But with every upside comes a downside, a balance that has always made us clash.

He likes cake, I like cake, and yet I love fast food, he dislikes food fast.

I like to fight, Hardin likes to fight, and yet he doesn't like to kill without good cause, unlike me. Or at least I used to be like that, now I don't have any other choice but to ensure they're not the victims before I send them right to Lucifer himself.
