"You'll need gas masks, and gloves, your clothes will need to be thick to avoid the wolfsbane making any contact with your skin, maybe double layer." I tell them, scribbling a list of items.
"Okay, gas masks, gloves, double up clothes." Seb repeats, nodding as he heads off to sort it out.
"The trackers will go first, they'll set up the booby traps surrounding them." I say to Maddox.
They all stare at the paper, I'd drawn a little plan out to show them how easy It'll be. And quick. We all have lives to get back to.
"Once they fall back I'll give everyone else the signal, they'll hit the targets closest to them." Maddox adds.
"Once they all start sprinting for the nearest exit, they'll be practically killing themselves." I shrug, sipping at my hot chocolate.
"You're a proper psycho, you know that?" Maddox quizzes me, though his tone is anything but offensive.
I chuckle.
"You haven't seen anything." Hardin comments under his breath, smirking at me.
"Now I'm intrigued." Maddox says, gesturing for Hardin to continue.
"Kali has a habit of wanting to fight me when I piss her off." Hardin admits, his chuckle so deep that I feel it in my stomach.
"Yeah, and I beat your ass too!" I smirk, leaning back on the chair.
Hardin rolls his pretty eyes, while Maddox smirks at him. Dom says nothing, remaining as silent as ever across the kitchen.
"It was one time." Hardin grunts in defence of his masculinity.
"Don't know how I'd feel about the idea of my mate squaring up to me, you're brave." Maddox slaps Hardin on the back in a manly gesture, finding humour in our messed up mating.
I just grin behind the rim of my mug as I drink, watching the exchange. Maddox is far more at ease today than when I saw him last, and I know it's because he trusts that his pack will be safe. It's still strange to be here, considering how little we've interacted since I lost my wolf.
I'm suddenly reminded of the she-wolf. How is she going to cope in a new pack, under different laws? Hardin's people aren't gentle, as soon as they see her they're going to pounce.
Maybe this is a bad idea.
"I'm going to get some sleep, happy hunting." I offer a sarcastic smile, heading out of the kitchen and back to the guest room.
Two days sleeping in a tree is as horrific as it sounds.
The moment I hit the bed, fully clothed and my hair still damp, I'm out like a light.

"No, no, no...please, breathe..." I sob over his little body, shifting and morphing into his humans form.
But he struggles for breath, like the others. His fragile body incapable of handling such a process. But I couldn't accept it, couldn't physically handle it.
"No, please! Just breathe...just breathe! Please...please." I sob as I cradle yet another lifeless pup in my arms, screams bellowing from my chest.

I wake with a gasp, grabbing my chest as I force my eyes open. Sweaty, panicking and crying, I sprint for the bathroom, flinging the toilet seat up in time to puke up my stomachs contents.
My body shakes, and I feel weak as I drag myself to the sink to brush my teeth. The tears on my face are fresh, and I quickly wash them away.
I haven't dreamt of them in so long. Not like that at least. Maybe bringing this female back home isn't a good idea, I don't want a constant reminder of the most painful moment of my life.
