The men are just as arrogant, and dismissive as they were the day they arrived. Nothing has changed in my month of absence, I'm almost glad. Though I didn't spend a lot of time here before that, so I suppose real training starts now.
Just like old times.
"Still want us to tame some stupid dog? We know it's part of your little plan." A voice mocks, I don't enough to locate which man is echoes from.
"No." I smile, and it's vicious.
"You each have one shot to put me down, if you win, you train with the big boys." I nod towards Hardin and his wolves.
"If you don't, you stay with me." I almost smile. "It shouldn't be hard, I'm just a human."
They're all so full of arrogance that they don't hear the taunting of my words, only that I'm offering the option for them to get 'real' training.
"Rules?"
"No shifting." I say.
Some of the men show surprise. "That's it?" One asks.
"That's it." I confirm.
They're not fazed by the bō staff in my grasp, too excited by the idea of knocking me on my ass without any repercussions. So while they form a semi-circle, lining up to take their shot, I stand as calm as water on a summers day.
Unworried. Because I've fought faster men, bigger men, and I've won. Markus was too foolish to believe his men needed actual training, somehow convinced that men are born to be superior to all females. Training isn't required, all you need to be a strong person is a cock between your legs.
Fools, the lot of them.
The first man that comes running towards me, fully confident that he's going to knock me out and have done with it all. I shift my footing, catching the bō in my left hand, both hands centred as I spin it quickly. The bō hits the side of his temple, and I slam my knee up onto his groin. Hard.
He groans a faint squeal, stiffening. I step around him, his body falling and he lands on his knees, grabbing his balls.
"Next." I announce.
The next man is more calculating, but he ultimately isn't fast enough. His punch lands in thin air, I counterattack and duck, sliding under and around, bringing my bō in a single turn and whacking him up the side of his head.
My foot connects with the back of his knees, as he buckles, my elbow hits hit temple. Night, night. I want to mock, but keep my mouth shut.
One by one the men come at me, with absolutely no skill or balance. Ultimately joining the others behind me, the ones that have faced a hard truth.
That they're not superior.
I am.
"You'll get used to it, it's better to just drop the sexist bullshit." One of the wolves comment as he passes.
"She's trained you?" One of my wolves question.
"Yeah, she knows her shit." The wolf nods, only pausing as another wolf steps up.
"If she's so good, why don't you train with her anymore?"
"Alpha Hardin goes a little easier on us. If you remember anything, let it be this...the king may rule the kingdom, but it's the Queen who moves the board." The wolf offers a almost sinister smile, heading off towards the pack house.
It's kind of nice to be praised for once, can't lie.
"Do you train with the Alpha?" One of the men ask in confusion, clearly not understanding.
