Chapter Twenty-Three

OMG I FEEL SO SICK RN!! Anyway, sorry if it gets boring or is boring right now but i have plans for when they start school its just that getting to that point in life isnt very easy at the moment :')

*McKenzie's POV*
I woke up the next morning feeling a little better than yesterday. I looked at the time hoping it wouldnt be 5am again and luckily for me, it was 11:15am. I smile a bit and decide to go and take a shower. I grab a towel and then have a nice warm shower. The hot water feels so good on my skin, soothing me.

I got out and dryed myself and then got dressed into some black track pants and my black Hayes jumper. I dried my hair and then put it in a messy bun. I put on some ugg boots and minimal make up. I went out of the bathroom and put on my glasses.

I went downstairs and into the kitchen to find a note on the bench saying,

Hey Kenzie and Katie,
We've just gone to the shop and into town to get a few things. We should be back at around 3 this arfternoon so see you guys then. Love you and stay safe.
Mums xx

Well, i guess we are home alone for a while. I wonder where Katie is. I go up to her room to see if shes sleeping or in the bathroom and she isnt there. I check my phone to see if shes texted me and nothing. I search the whole house and I still cant find her.

I call her and she doesnt answer so i decided to text Hayes.

To Hayes: Hey babe. Is Katie at your house? :*

It doesnt take long for him to reply.

From Hayes: Hey beautiful! Um no i dont think so. I'll check. I havnt left my room today haha whoops. :*

To Hayes: Oh my god Hayes. :') I guess i cant talk i just got out of my room like 20 minutes ago haha. :*

From Hayes: Lazy butt ;) And Katie isn't here... :*

To Hayes: Really? I wonder where she is. Can you please come over? No one is home and im going to go and look for her. Ill call her first though. :*

From Hayes: Okay babe. Ill just put a top on and come over. :*

To Hayes: Okay boo see you then. :*

From Hayes: Boo? Nice nickname ;) :*

To Hayes: Shhh. I was trying to think of something else other than babe because we always say that in texts :') :*

From Hayes: Okay then...... pumpkin. :*

To Hayes: Oh my god Hayes. Just get your butt over here aha. :') :*

From Hayes: Okay cupcake ill be over in 5. ;) :*

I laugh at his reply and the put my phone in my pocket. I take off my ugg boots and put on my black vans. I tried calling and texting Katie a few more times but still no reply. Just as I put my phone back in my pocket Hayes walks through the door.

"Hey. You ready?" I ask as he hugs me.

"Hey. Yes. Do you have any idea where she could be?" He asks.

"No. I dont even know why shes gone. She wont answer any of my texts or calls and...... Hayes. Im really worried. What if she's hurt? What if she doesnt want to come home? What will Mary and mum say? i-i cant have her being hurt Hayes, or worse." I start to freak out. Flying my hands up everywhere and on the verge of crying.

"Babe. Babe calm down. We'll find her. I promise. We'll go and tell the boys and they can help look for her. Like a search party. I promise we'll do everything to find her."

"O-okay. Ill just go make sure she isnt actually in the house okay." He nods and goes to sit on the lounge.

Maybe i'm over exagerating. She could just have gone for a walk and turned her phone on silent. Maybe she just needed sme fresh air, some time to herself. Well, thats what ill belive, for now.

I walk up the stairs and to Katie's door. I knock three times with no answer, so i just walk in. She isnt on her bed or in her wardrobe. I've looked everywhere in her room so if shes going to be anywhere in here the last place to look is the bathroom. 

I walk over to the bathroom door and open it, slowly. I look around the room, behind the door and in the shower. No sign of her being in here. I walk back into Katie's room and then out into the hallway. I look everywhere else upstairs and she isnt here so i walk back down past Hayes and out the back door. She could be out the back but she isnt, so i go back inside to Hayes.

"Any luck?" He asks while getting off the couch.

"Nope," I sigh. "Let's just go over to your house and see if the boys know what to do." I sigh, again.

After i locked the door, we waked down the drive way and towards Hayes' house. We opened the door and all eyes were on us. The boys were all shirt less, had there tops around there heads like a bandana and were running around the house like headless chooks. I blushed a little because they all have very nice body's, oh god stop perving Kenzie, but i laughed so hard i think i may have peed a little. 

"Oh my god. What the hell are you guys doing?" I said inbetween laughs.

"We are warriors!!" Matt came right in my face and screamed, it just made me laugh more. 

After we all calmed down the boys put their shirts back on and all attention was on me. 

"Kenzie, are you okay? You look worried." Nash came up to me.

"Well, i am. Its about Katie. I dont know where she is. Is she here?" 

"No. We havnt seen her since yesterday," Matt sais. "I could try texting or calling?" He adds.

"Yes please Matt. That would be a huge help. Thank you." I thank him. 

He smiles and gets out his phone and goes to her contanct and presses her number to call it. Once he presses it he puts in on speaker and we huddle around and wait. After what seems like forever... She answers.
