hey Clay uh, can you help me surprise Sapnap?

That was probably the least expected message Clay ever expected to get. It was from Luke. He knew the two used to be close, but he didn't understand why Luke suddenly wanted to surprise his best friend.

well why now?

i know you two used to be close and all,

but why now all of a sudden would you wanna see him?

we decided to not tell anyone

he's anxious about people knowing,

i think it's got something to do with internalized homophobia

but we decided to stop hanging out as much publicly so no one could get any sort of idea

it makes him feel better so i let him do it

ah, makes sense

uh so when do you wanna head down here?

maybe soon? 

he's been acting kinda anxious lately and he wont tell me why so i kinda wanna come figure it out

Luke was excited. Sapnap had been brushing him off a bit more lately and he wasn't having it. It worried him a bit. He closed out of discord and went to google looking up tickets to Florida as soon as possible.

Time Skip

The plane ride was possibly one of the most dreadful things Luke had ever done. Of all the planes he had been on, not one had been silent, except for this one. And he forgot headphones so he had nothing to fill the silence with. It drove him insane.

Once he got off the plane and found his luggage he opened discord on his phone.

Luke walked out of the building finding Clay's car and hopping in.
"Hello."
"Hey, you ready to see Sap?" Luke smiled softly.
"Awe hell yeah dude. I haven't talked to him all day. Kinda fucking missed talking to him."

The two sat in silence the whole ride back. It was a comfortable silence, Clay was significantly tired, and Luke was too focused on being excited to talk to Sap to think about talking to Clay. He was so excited.

Once they finally got there Luke hopped out of the car, too excited to hear Clay. He walked right into the house not knowing where anything is. It was a decent-sized house, kitchen, dining room, living room, stairs, three rooms, two bathrooms, it was nice.

Luke admired how they had decorated as he walked up the stairs. He briefly looked at the four doors and knew exactly which one was Sap's. It had his little fire symbol on it. He smiled before knocking lightly.

Sapnap hummed a bit expecting Clay to barge in and make a commotion. Instead what he got was his door hesitantly opening. He looked over only to freeze. Luke smiled.
"Hi, baby." Sapnap looked like a fish. He wanted to say something, but he couldn't figure out what to say.
"Oh my god, LUKE! You're here!"

The boy rushed to stand and hugged his boy. They stood there for a few minutes rocking back and forth. Luke laughed a bit and tipped back to the bed. He fell and landed with Sap laying on top of him.

He looked at the boy and giggled.
"You sleepin' there baby?" The only response he got was a quiet little hum which made him huff.
"Have you been sleeping lately, baby?" Sapnap shifted a bit.
"Huh-uh."

The two laid there basking in the silence and the comfort. This was the first time they had been together in person, and they were not going to waste the chance to revel in it. It was their time and they were gonna use it.
