This is a request, and to that person, I'm sorry it took forever. Also, instead of Quackity being the one excluded from Kinoko, it's Sapnap in this.

Sapnap was lazing around, bored. Quackity and Karl were out who knows where and he had no idea what to do with himself. He lazily walked around their house looking for something to do. He found a book on one of the bookshelves that he definitely hadn't read before.

He grabbed the book and went to sit down on their couch. He gently ran his hand over the cover; 'The Inbetween'. He opened the book and got to reading. He was fascinated by the book. It read like a journal, it was so interesting.

It had his attention all the way into when the book finally mentions names he knows.

'I asked Quackity and George if they wanted to make a country with me, one out far away from all the chaos and war. They agreed and we found a place and got to building. The problem is that I can't help but feel like I'm forgetting someone or something.'

Sapnap's eyes watered.

He knew they were leaving more often, but he didn't know they were doing this. He felt guilty for reading this, it was obviously Karl's journal, but at this point, he doesn't care. They left him. Karl forgot, and the others seemed to not even care to remind him.

Sapnap got up and left the book open on the couch. He walked slowly up to their room, before starting to pack a bag. His eyes leaked the whole time. Who was he supposed to go to? George? He ran away with the others. Clay? He's in prison. Luke? Yeah, Luke.

Sapnap wiped his eyes and grabbed his bag, making sure he had everything, and grabbing Mars from the pond out back, and beginning his trek to Luke's tower. He watched Mars swim around in the bucket as he walked.

He finally showed up at Luke's tower and rang the doorbell. Luke opens the door and his face drops immediately.
"Sap? What happened?" Sapnap huffed.
"Karl, Quackity, and George made a new nation without me. Karl forgot and the others didn't even care to remind him. I have nowhere else to go Luke."

Luke beckoned the boy inside and upstairs. He showed him the room he'd be staying in and got the boy situated before letting him sleep. Luke decided he needed sleep too and went to sleep as well.

Later that night Luke woke up to screaming. He immediately shot out of his bed and his room, on his way to Sap's. He got there and shook the boy awake.
"Sapnap! It's ok, you're safe, there's no one here other than you and me, it's ok!" The boy's eyes shot open and he latched onto Luke.

Luke sat on the bed with the boy waiting for him to calm down. It took a while, he was so worked up, but finally, his cries slowed to the occasional hiccup.
"Are you ok Sap?" Sapnap shuddered.
"I don't know. It was a terrible nightmare, Luke." Luke sighed.
"Do you want to tell me about it Lovely?" Sapnap smiled then frowned.
"It was the three of them, suffocating Mars, and. And killing you. I held you as you died Luke!" Luke's eyes watered.
"Ok, Lovely, it's ok, I'm right here, they haven't done anything, and I won't let them."

The two calmed down and decided to go back to sleep. Luke laid down and brought the other down on his chest with him. They converse a bit about random things, Luke trying to distract Sapnap from his nightmare, and they eventually fall asleep.

The next morning the two wake up but are very drowsy and delirious. Sapnap was still laying on Luke. He watched Luke's eyes open. Luke smiled drowsily at Sapnap which made the boy laugh. Sapnap smiled back and leaned up.

The two shared a short love-filled kiss before they got up and went downstairs to eat. They started pancakes before the doorbell rang. Luke stood up and went to the door only to be met with Quackity, Karl, and George.

He growled low in his throat.
"What are you doing here?" Karl stepped back, being the one in the front.
"W-we just came to see if you've seen Sapnap. He's gone and we can't find hi-" Then from behind Luke, they all heard Sapnap call out.
"Luke come back, we're not done yet."

The look on their faces was priceless to Luke. He tried so hard not to laugh, but he just couldn't. He burst out laughing.
"Sapnap come here!" Said boy scrambled off his chair and to Luke confused.

Once he got there he froze.
"Um, why'd you want me, Luke?" His eyes teared up a bit. Luke gently pulled the boy next to him.
"These idiots think we're fucking because of what you said. So I told you to come here so you can witness me say this."

Luke turned to the three and started talking.
"George, first of all, you're a terrible friend. You never pay attention, and you're always sleeping. Fuck you. As for you two, Karl, you forgot, which I don't fault you for, but Quackity, you knew you were leaving Sap alone, and you still didn't think to, oh I don't know, ask Sapnap to join? You left him alone, all three of you, and now he's here because everyone else has left him. Fuck you all. Get off my property."

The three stood astounded before backing away, a bit intimidated by Luke. Luke turned around and pulled Sapnap into a hug. The boy's eyes started watering. Luke closed the door and pulled the boy outback.

On their way, Luke grabbed the bucket with Mars in it and they continued to the small pond. He sat Sapnap down and gently let Mars into the pond. He sat next to Sapnap and they silently watched as the fish swam around.

Luke sighed and whispered,
"No matter what happens, I will always be here for you Lovely." Sapnap smiled softly.
"I love you." Luke smiled too.
"I love you too."

Sorry for the wait. Been super busy lately. Enjoy :) - Pidge
