It was a normal day on the Origins SMP, everyone was on in some weird twist of fate. Currently, Wilbur, Niki, Tubbo, Phil, and Scott were up in the Pub, hanging out in their little communal area. Niki was in her tank, the others sitting just outside having a nice conversation with the girl.

Tommy, Ranboo, and Sneeg were fooling around outside the pub, trading, or rather, stealing. The others, Jack, Schlatt, Charlie, and Fundy were doing something fucked. No one ever quite knows what they do, they just do it and everyone ignores them.

Tommy was glad to have Ranboo and Sneeg distracting him, today was the two-year anniversary of the day he had to leave his dad behind and come here with Phil. He missed his dad. A lot. He had to leave his home for here because of a war. His dad was the top fighter so he had to stay.

It crushed him to leave but he knew he had to. There was no way he could stay and survive. But his dad was a top-tier warrior, he would survive. It just got harder and harder to believe that every time the anniversary passes without word from him.

So yeah, Tommy was beyond glad to have friends to distract him even if they didn't know they were doing so. They were currently being dirty crime boys, stealing, sorry borrowing things from everyone. They would be as loud as possible because everyone was otherwise occupied. No one could stop them.

Tommy only did this kind of stuff to get people to notice him. Back home with his dad, his dad gave him every second of every day to hang out and talk. But here, it wasn't like that, people's attention was split between all the people on the server, so Tommy did stuff like this to get people to give him attention, even bad attention.

So here they were sneaking into Fundy's hole to ransack his chests. They got in, got the goods, and left. They did this till late in the afternoon, Tommy guessed about two before they agreed to go back to the pub and hang out with the others.

When they got there they all settled in in random spots, the conversation from before they got there continuing with their new input occasionally. The only differences are the occasional joke that the more mature wouldn't have made, and Tommy being quiet. The only person who knew why he was quiet was Phil.

Tommy sat quietly with his head tipped back, staring at the sky, just his head outside of the pavilion. The blue sky with the occasional cloud reminded Tommy of the days where he and his dad would sit in silence and appreciate nature. It also reminded him of the days where they would sit under an old oak and his dad would read one of his old books to him.

Phil glanced at the boy and sighed. He knew the date, he knew why the boy was sad, it made him sad. After a while of lapsing silence, Wilbur spoke up.
"Hey Toms, why are you sitting out there alone? Come back in here and talk with your family." Those were the wrong words.

Tommy sat up silently, looked Wilbur in the eyes as his filled with tears before jumping off the floating island, floating down before running away. If anyone here even remotely qualified as his family it'd be Phil. But no, his family isn't here, these people aren't his family, his real family is probably dead, having heard no word from him in two years.

As Tommy ran he bumped into something and fell on his butt. He looked up slowly, his eyes still blurry.
"W-who are you? And how'd you get here?" Tommy heard the man chuckle sadly before crouching down in front of him.

The blurry pink blob in front of him reached forward to wipe the tears off the boy's face. Tommy knew the feeling of those rough hands. He choked on a sob. Tommy surged forward and held the man in a vice-like grip.

Tommy sobbed.
"Dad!" Techno chuckled softly.
"Hi, Theseus." They stayed there for a few minutes until Tommy realized that he was angry. He shoved his dad away from him.
"You left me here alone for two years!" Techno huffed.
"Theseus we talked about this before you left, we knew it would take a while, probably years. I never meant to leave you for that long, don't you think it hurt me to be away from you for so long?"
