3rd Person[George]
George was a breathtaking artist. He loved to draw. Organic, freeform, realistic, anything. He loved it all. But, he didn't always have access to the things needed for art. His family was just barely getting by and he wasn't allowed to 'waste' money on his 'idiotic' dreams.
He knew he shouldn't listen to them, but they're his parents. How could he not? So he stuck to taking a pen or marker to his arm. He couldn't remember when he started doing it, but it was routine by now.
3rd Person[Sapnap]
Sapnap had never been very artsy. But he was great at debating. His parents had always been very lenient with him so they never really argued, but he was always great at argumentative things. Writing, debating, etc.
So imaging his confusion, when right below his writing on his wrist - which was of times for debate club - was a beautiful little drawing of a bluejay. It was outlined in black and there were faint scribbles of blue.
He decided he'd ask his friends at school later. He got out of bed and checked the time. He had about ten minutes to get to school. He launched up and changed as fast as he could. He grabbed his bag and rushed out the door.
He got to school panting. He rushed inside to his homeroom. He found his seat and turned to his friends.
"Hey Niki, Eret, do you two know what this means?" He pulled his sleeve up and showed the two the drawing. Eret gasped.
"Dude! Your soulmate drew that!" Sapnap stared at the bird.
"Soul-what?" Niki giggled.
"Soulmate. Anything you write or draw on you shows up, on them, and vice-versa."
Sapnap sat there for a few seconds before he registered what the two had just said. His eyes widened.
"Soulmate. I have a soulmate." He stared at the bluejay and zoned out the world around him. He didn't know what this meant. Should he write something? He decided that was what he'd do. He grabbed a pen and below the bird, wrote in his careful, neat, semi-cursive handwriting,
Hello, soulmate. The name's Sapnap. What's yours?
3rd Person[George]
When George woke up and saw the remnants of scribbles on his arm, he dismissed it as remnants of his last doodle. He grabbed his bag after changing and carefully slipped past his parents.
When he got to school he walked to his homeroom and sat down. He had about an hour. He liked being early. He grabbed a black and blue pen and carefully sketched out the bird, going back and adding blue here and there.
He finished just as the last student walked in. He recognized him, it was Sapnap. The school's top debate kid. He was amazing. He had even managed to sway George on things he didn't know he had opinions on.
He watched as the boy pulled up his sleeve to show his friends something on his arm. Eret was sitting in the way though, so he couldn't see what it was. He zoned out for a second before he heard Eret shout.
He looked over and focused on their conversation hearing them talk about soulmates. Niki explained what they are to Sapnap before the boy seemed to zone out. He watched him grab a pen and write something carefully.
He continued to watch the boy before something caught his eye. There, carefully written on his wrist, in semi-cursive, was
Hello, soulmate. The name's Sapnap. What's yours?
His eyes widened and it took everything he had to not gasp.
Sapnap was his soulmate.
How was he supposed to go about this?
George's POV
I stared at the name on my wrist. What the hell. How am I supposed to do anything with this? I decided to ignore it and focus on the next thing I wanted to draw. I was gonna draw a nest, or maybe a cardinal. I wasn't sure yet. Now I think I know.
3rd POV
George grabbed his black pen and gently outlined a little nest beneath the bluejay.
Sapnap looked at his arm and glanced below the bird. There he saw, gradually, a little nest appearing.
George finished up the nest, adding a bit of brown before he grabbed the black and started another bird. A cardinal.
Sapnap watched silently as the brown was added and the beginnings of another bird were added.
George gently added the red to the cardinal and looked over to Sapnap.
Sapnap watched as the red was added and he felt the gaze of someone on him. Confused, he looked up.
The two made eye contact and George smiled gently and waved a bit. Sapnap was stunned. He found his soulmate the day he found out what they were. He smiled a bit and waved back. They both smiled.
A new beginning.
It's a little short but I like this ending so here you go. If you'd like a part two, just ask. Also, I'm very sorry for the wait, writer's block has been kicking my ass lately. There is a part three coming for another series, and four other independent ones in the works. So while I work, Enjoy :) - Pidge
