All I have ever wanted was freedom. Freedom. Is that too much to ask? You maybe be thinking, 'Hey, Tina. You are no longer with Papa or the bad men. You are a free girl.' Well you can change cages, but in the end, they are still cages.
The first cage was the lab. That was the worst, because I was alone with the exception of my captor. The second cage was Mike's basement. Ugh, Mike. Mike, this. Mike, that. That is all I have heard for the last YEAR!!!
Anyway, Mike's basement was the second cage. We did leave sometimes, but only on occasion and with supervision. At least I had El with me.
And now we come to our final cage. After Hopper found us, we became confined to his cabin in the woods. Again, I was trapped with El, but we were not aloud to leave. But Hopper did teach us. He is been acting like a father to us. Sure he is nearly called us Sarah a few times, but aside from that, it is been pretty good.
The only real problem is that I am trapped with El. That does not sound like a bad thing, but now all she is obsessed with is Mike. I do not understand why, he is just a guy, but El will enter the Void to watch Mike and apparently he is been trying to contact her. He misses her. He needs her. El has told this to Hopper and I repeatedly, but Hopper has not changed his rules.
The only time he changed his rules was when I forced him to. I needed space to be outside and move around as a dinosaur, because I was getting to my breaking point. I was irritable, mean, and angry. Finally, Hopper had pushed one to many buttons and I snapped a bit.
You see it is hard to argue with a dinosaur. Especially one that is trapped in a wooden cage that has 1 goal. Get out.
On the bright side, it only took a week to fix the hole in the wall.
If we are being honest, the best part of my life was the in between period of cage 2 and cage 3. Living in the wild was amazing. Sure El had nothing to eat, but we made do. And yeah, sure El had to steal from someone so she would not freeze, but I was having the time of my life. Running in the white stuff from the sky (Hopper called it snow) and rolling around in it. Amazing. I did spend most of my time in either velociraptor or stegosaurus form.
