Flash, El is yelling, her hand forward, blood trickling down her nose.
Silent darkness.
Flash! The Demogorgon screeching as I pin it to the wall with my tail and El focuses on destroying it.
Silent darkness.
Flash! The ashes of disintegrating Demogorgon cover El and I in a black vortex and knocks us out.
Silent darkness.
My eyes shoot open as I lay on the ground. I hear coughing and look over. El is on the ground coughing. We both stand up and look around. We are exactly where we were, but not exactly. We are in the classroom, but the boys are gone and all the lights are off. These weird vine type thingys cover everything. The air looks like it is filled with particles of something.
El and I share a look and as the adrenaline slowly fades, I collapse to the ground, my form shrinking back to its original human state.

With El's help, we make it out of the classroom and walk through the school. Vines continue to cover every wall, the ceiling and the floor. Using El to lean on, we make our way around the school, trying to find a way out.
"Mike?" El asks, her voice echoing out.
We start to hear sounds from a part of the school, we slowly follow the sounds, hoping for escape.
"Mike?!" El calls out, louder. "Mike?!? Mike!!!!"
El repeatedly screams for Mike as we follow the sounds. Everything goes blurry a few times, but we still make our way around. Finally, in this world of blue and black, we see a red light in the wall. The hole the Demogorgon ripped through to get to our world.
We are in the Upside Down.
And we can get out.
Slowly we walk towards the red light. We look through and see this weird see through red type substance that separates us. Through it, El and I can make out 2 bad men with lights looking around. One kneels down to look at us, but we move out of the way.
"Bravo team, check in."
We cannot make out what else they are saying, but they move on.
El, bravely stands in front of the rip and reaches her hand to it. She manages to get her hand through, before pulling back. She picks me up and with the help of her powers, rips a bigger hole.
Bricks and tiles fall at our feet, until El is satisfied and pulls my body through the rip between worlds. It is wet and slimy and horrible, but we emerge back into the real world, the non toxic air gratefully entering our lungs.
