Fireworks explode in the distance as we faintly hear the crowd cheering and the marching band playing.
"He said he was building something. That it was all for me." Jane explains.
"Building something.... Is he talking about the flayed?" Max asks.
"He must be." Nancy says.
"So, he's building an army, just like we thought." Lucas confirms.
"Yeh, but he's not building this army to spread." Mike says.
Will adds. "He's building it to stop Eleven."
"Last year, El closed the gate on him. I have a feeling that really pissed him off." Mike continues.
"Like, royally." Lucas jumps in.
"And the Mind Flayer now knows that she's the only thing that can stop him. But if she's out of the way—"
"Game over." Lucas finishes for Mike.
"He also said he was gonna kill all of you." Jane says as she looks around.
"Yeah, well, that's nice." Max says.
Just then, a faint screeching noise comes from outside. Nancy and I both stand up. Nancy walks over to the window as it comes back.
"Do you guys hear that?" Nancy asks.
"It's just the fireworks." Jonathan says, trying to reassure Nancy.
"Billy." Nancy suddenly says, before turning around. "When he told you this, it was here, in this room?"
Jane nods. Just then, slowly, Will reaches up and grabs the back of his neck. "He knows we're here."
We all race outside and walk to the road. And at the far end of it, pushing down trees, a large meaty spider-like monster is running up the road, uprooting and throwing away any trees in its way.
"Everyone, inside now." Nancy says. "Jonathan, help me find some weapons."
The rest scatter, either to go inside or search for weapons. All except me. There is not enough time.
"Kassie, come on!" Max shouts from the doorway to the cabin. "We don't have a lot of time.
"You're right." I call back. "But I'm going to make more time. Start barricading."
And with that, I grow to a massive size. Like my velociraptor transformation, my head elongates and a large tail while out of my lower back. All along my spine, a sail raises up. My hands and feet elongate further, growing massive claws. By the time I am finished, I roar loudly in my Spinosaurus form and charge the Mind Flayer.

"Kassandra!"
I ignore Max's call and continue to charge ahead. The Mind Flayer, seeing me charge, also charges. And with a sound that sounds like thunder and meat squelching, we collide. Immediately, I crunch down hard on the Mind Flayer's shoulder, having it roar in agony. And with 6.5 inch long claws, I slash any piece of flesh I can reach.
