Foul Love (Sasuke x OC)

"You're good to go! Just make sure you rest, and don't train for the next few days." The nurse says to me.

Like hell. I plaster on a fake smile, "Of course! Thank you!"

I exit the hospital and head straight towards training ground 12. My eyes meet with Tenten's and she starts running over towards me.

"What are you doing here, Madi?" she asks me with a smile, but she's obviously scared.

"Where is Neji?"

"Oh um actually he's-"

"I'm right here." Neji appears behind the two of us and I turn around.

His eyes lock with mine and I stomp over to him. Before he could get out what he wanted to I swing at him, hitting him right in the jaw. He stumbles a bit and I kick him down, so he falls right into the dirt. I put my hand on his throat and pin down his hands with my knees.

"Why did you do that yesterday?" I say to him in a cool voice, my words are icy.

He struggles to speak under my grip, "I was angry."

I'm taken back by this comment. "You had no right to be angry."

Gai then grabs me and rips me off of Neji. He holds me in the air by the back of my shirt and I just hang there. "Madi! We do not attack our comrades!"

"Isn't that exactly what he did to me?"

"You agreed to fight, didn't you?"

"The only thing I agreed to was sparring. He used a chakra based attack after you had called us off. It was a dirty move."

Gai was about to say something else when Neji got up, "I didn't like being challenged."

Now I was angry, "Challenged?! You challenged me you asshole," I start to kick in Gai's grasp, "You self-righteous son of bitch! I'll rip that ponytail off your head and shove it up your-"

I'm interrupted by a shocked Gai covering my mouth with his hand. "That's quite enough Madi," he says with a sweat drop on the side of his head. Neji, Tenten, and Lee all just stare at me. Tenten is trying hard not to laugh, Lee is in complete shock, and Neji's face just looks blank.

Eventually I calm down and Gai puts me down. I'm relaxed and I take a deep breath in, and look at Neji. His lip was bleeding from where I had punched him earlier and he was staring directly at me.

"Madi, I got the okay from the hokage to bring you along with my team on a mission today. It will be a simple information gathering mission, do you think you'd be able to come along and behave?" Gai proposed to me.

I nod and he explains the mission. He says that we should all go home and pack, then meet at the gates by five o' clock. We all disperse and exit the training grounds. It's probably around three so I head to my house to gather my things.

As I walk home I feel like someone is watching me. I turn around and shout, "Are you going to keep following me? Or are you going to show yourself?"

The trees start to rustle and Neji jumps down from them. I didn't think he'd be the one following me, but then again he's pretty unpredictable.

"What are you doing Neji?"

"I wanted to apologize," he says to me, unable to meet my eyes.

"Why?"

"Because I hurt you," he said, finally looking in my eyes.

"I know that much, but why do you feel sorry now? His eyes widen like my question startled him. I continue talking, "Are you really sorry for what you did? Or do you just not want there to be any conflict between us on the mission, because if you're not sorry don't bother apologizing. I really couldn't care less anymore, you beat me up and I gave you a nice knock in the jaw."

He starts to stare at me, with a blank expression. "I really am sorry. I got carried away trying to prove something to myself and I hurt you in the process. I am asking forgiveness."

"I guess you're forgiven then."

"Thank you," is all he says before walking away. That was one of the weirdest interactions of I've ever had. I head home and pack up my stuff, making sure to eat before I left.

I get to the dock and it's almost four. Shikamaru isn't here yet, and I assume he's going to be late. My time is running short when I see Shikamaru finally show up at the dock.

"Hey Madi, I'm sorry to keep you waiting. Ino wouldn't get off my back."

"It's okay Shika, but that just means we'll only have time for one match. I'm leaving on a mission with one of the older teams at 5."

"That explains your bags," says the lazy shinobi as he pulls out a shogi board.

We begun to play and I swear I was going to beat him, but last minute he wins.

"You need to work on thinking about your future moves. You're always thinking about what I'm going to do, but making your plans when the time comes. You need to find a way to make me think, rather than only thinking about my moves."

"Oddly, that makes a lot of sense."

The boy just nods to me and I realize the time. "I have to go now Shikamaru, but it was almost fun to play with you."

"I think I'll take that as a compliment."

I begin to walk away when Shikamaru grabs my wrist, "I'll walk you to the gate, you must be a little nervous for your first mission."

"Not really, but it's nice of you to walk me. Let's get going."

With that comment, Shikamaru and I head towards the gates of Konoha.

"Hey Madi!" Tenten says with a smile.

Shikamaru waves and turns around to leave. "Be safe," is all he says before leaving. I nod even though he can't see me, just for good measure.

Tenten looks over to me with a wide smirk on her face, "Is that your boyfriend Madi?"Neji then turns to stare at me.

"Shikamaru?" I ask her with a quizzical look.

"Obviously!" Tenten says while raising an eyebrow.

"No, until now Shikamaru and I haven't even been friends, but I want to train my brain along with my body and so I asked Shika to be my shogi partner. He's the smartest person I know, and I've yet to beat him. I've never lost until I played him."

Tenten gives me a look, "Shika, huh?"

I roll my eyes at this remark and Neji comes over to me.

"I'm not bad at shogi myself," he tells me.

"Oh yeah? Then I guess we'll just have to play each other."

He gives me a nod and Gai Sensei shows up with Lee. We get a start on our venture to the hidden sound village. The village had only popped up recently, so they're trying to ally forces with the leaf. The Hokage was slightly suspicious of this newly found village, and sent our group over to 'make a good impression,' but all we were really doing is seeing if there's any suspicious behavior.

This is going to be an exciting mission.
