As I brush out Setami's hair, she inspects herself in the mirror. She seems awfully nervous so I ask her why.

"Oh it's nothing. I just want to look good for him," she tells me.

"Don't worry about it, you look beautiful."

"Thanks Madi. I ordered you and Sasuke some food, so room service should be up later."

I smile and Setami Sensei changes into a black dress. She looks absolutely lovely, and I just can't wait to see Kakashi's reaction when he sees her.

As I walk out of the room with Setami, Sasuke walks out of the room with Kakashi. He looks very nice and is wearing dress pants with a white button up. He's holding a bouquet of flowers and hands them to Setami. She blushes and they leave for the restaurant.

Food is brought up and Sasuke and I eat while playing some shogi. We play until they get home and I win every time.

Setami is beaming when she walks in the door, and Kakashi looks ecstatic. He must've done it, and she obviously said yes. These two are the cutest thing ever.

"Madi! Other room, now." Setami says to me with a wide smile spread across her face.

Once we're in the room she takes her jacket off and shows me the large wedding ring on her finger.

"So he did it?" I ask her with a smile. She lets out a childish giggle and nods her head. "The ring is very beautiful. I am beyond happy for the two of you, you both deserve each other."

Setami hugs me and squeezes me to the point where I don't know if I can breath. Upon release she looks me in the eyes, "I know it's really early and everything, but do you think you can be my best maid?"

"You really don't have any friends?" I say in shock.

Her hand reaches to scratch the back of her head, "Well the thing is... hehe,"

"Of course I will."

We exit the room to see Kakashi and Sasuke playing shogi. Sasuke was getting frustrated after losing so many times so he was itching for a win. Kakashi ended up beating him though. We all changed into pajamas. I wore shorts and one of Naruto's tee shirts. Only a week until I get to see that little twerp again. Sasuke and I lay down to go to bed, this time maintaining a little bit of distance. He reaches for my hand and holds mine in his. We both fall peacefully to sleep.

----

"So this is it?" I ask Setami Sensei. We're back in the leaf village, and standing outside the arena. The final round of the Chunin exams are finally upon us. You can hear the cheers coming from the crowd, and Setami pushes the doors open. As we walk inside, I can see all of my friends standing in one general area. Setami and I head up too see Naruto looking beat, and I assume he lost.

"Hey, how'd ya do Naruto?"

"I won! Believe it!" He tells me with a smile, and once he realizes who I am, engulfs me in a hug. We stand like this for a while, and all the time I've spent missing him has been washed away. I wouldn't give up this moment for anything.

The announcer says that Shikamaru is up against Temari. I don't know how strong Temari is, but if she's anything like her brother, she's not going to be an easy opponent.

Shikamaru obviously doesn't want to take part in any sort of fight, so I decide to give him a little push. Literally. "Sorry Shikamaru," I call out to him after he lands on the ground. When he still doesn't move I throw a kunai next to his head, causing him to get up.

"C'mon and fight you twerp!" I tell him. He finally stands, but Temari strikes him with the wave of a fan. This match isn't looking very good for Shikamaru, until he traps her in a shadow possession jutsu. When he is about to win, he forfeits the match.

"SHIKAMARU YOU FOOL! YOU HAD HER!" screams Naruto. Boos echo through the crowd, but you can tell Shika doesn't care too much about it. He releases Temari from his shadow possession and heads up to us, but Naruto runs down to meet him at the bottom.

I hear the proctor announce that my match is next. I want to make this as quick as possible, so once the proctor starts, I throw a kunai directly at my opponent.

He dodges, but my kunai completely takes off his long ponytail. This seems to piss off the sound ninja, and he charges towards me. I activate my storm barrier and in a fit of fury, he seems to forget what it does. He strikes me head on with a punch, but just gets electrocuted in the process, and falls to the ground. I'm declared the winner. My match was so boring, I mean I know I wanted it to be quick, but it wasn't even flashy or anything. I sigh as I head up the stairs. Sasuke still isn't here, but I know he wouldn't miss his match, especially since it's against Gaara.

Since I still have time until Sasuke gets there, I decide to locate Neji. Losing to Naruto must've put a bruise on his ego. Hyuuga, always so pretentious. Once I get to his room, I knock but I hear nothing.

"Neji, it's Madi. I'd like to talk with you," I say through the door softly.

"Come in," says his voice. It sounds weaker than normal, not so high strung.

Neji is sitting on a medical bed and he looks like hell. He must've been crying judging by the tear lines running down his face. I don't bother to ask what happened since I don't want to pry, so I just walk over to him and wrap my arms loosely around his neck. He puts his head in the crevice of my shoulder and begins to cry once more.

We stay like this for a few moments and then he pulls away to look at me. I try to look as sympathetic as possible, and speak, "I don't know what you have to deal with as a member of the Hyuuga, Neji, but I know what it feels like to never want to fail. There's no one putting any pressure on me, so I may not understand that part of it, but I know every time I fail, I feel like I'm worthless. I want you to know that you're not worthless, but you are still learning. You don't have to be fourteen with all the answers to everything, it's impossible." Neji smiles at me and I say my goodbyes.

When I reach the platform once more Gaara and Sasuke are fighting.

In the midst of their fight, feathers start to drop and I get drowsy. "Release," I shout. Who could be using a genjutsu right now? The sand ninjas are gone, and Sasuke seems to have followed them. Kakashi tells Naruto, Shikamaru, and Sakura to go after Sasuke.

"What about me Sensei?" I ask him.

"You need to stay here and help defend. We're under attack of the sand village. Their jonin level ninja will be here to fight. I need your help here."

I nod and tell the team to be safe. Making my way over to the other side of the stadium, I see the Kazekage and the Hokage fighting each other. Ninja attack me left and right, and all I can do is fight them off. Naruto has to be safe, he has to be.

"He's using my power"

What?

"To fight off that jinjuriki"

Is he okay?

"Yes, I think he'll win this battle"

This brings me some comfort. Once I stopped worrying, I noticed how much of a thrill I was getting through fighting. The Shinobi that were coming at me were easy to fight off. I can't imagine they could be Jonin, maybe they were only Chunin.

Just as I get into a fighting pattern, someone covers my mouth and grabs me around my waist. I kick and scream but with all the commotion no one can hear me. Something is injected into my neck and I pass out.
