Foul Love (Sasuke x OC)

Gai comes rushing into the hospital. It's been two days since they left, and I was beginning to get worried. My worries turn into fear as I see an unconscious Sasuke on Gai's back. The nurses put Sasuke on a stretcher and bring him into the room next to Kakashi's.

When I try to go into Sasuke's room, I'm stopped by a nurse saying I can't visit him unless I'm family. I try to inform her that Sasuke doesn't have any family, but she just tells me that he can't have any visitors then. My fist clenches and my urge to punch the nurse in the jaw grows, but I quell the urge.

I make my way to Kakashi's room. He's still in a coma and Setami looks like a mess. She sleeps in the chair next to Kakashi's bed, and I don't think she's left the room since she arrived. The bags under her eyes are prominent, and her lips are red like she's been crying for a while. I place a light kiss on both their foreheads and exit the room.

I find myself headed towards Lee's room. After Neji told me what happened during his fight with Gaara I've meant to visit him, but I've never got the chance.

"Hey Lee," I say as I enter the room.

"Hey," he says in a sad tone. It makes me want to cry, I miss his usual cheer. He turns around and sees it's me visiting. "Oh hey Madi!" he exclaims and his smile comes back to his face.

"Are you allowed to leave here?" I ask with a smirk.

Lee eyes me skeptically, "No, why do you ask?"

"Wanna get some ramen?"

"I said I'm not allowed to leave!" He says and shakes his head no.

"Oh c'mon Lee. You'll only get in trouble if you get caught. We'll be quick."

Lee seems to think to himself for a second, "Like a date?"

I roll my eyes, "Like two friends on a date."

Lee hollers and cheers. He picks up his crutches and heads over to me. I put his arm over my shoulder and hold his waist. "We won't be taking the door out," I say as I drag him out the window, making sure to be careful.

Once we arrive at Ichiraku's, I order miso ramen and Lee orders the same thing. We talk for hours and his smile starts to turn genuine. Obviously he needed this outing to distract himself. He tells me that the doctors don't think he'll be able to partake in taijutsu anymore, which crushed Lee's dream of being a ninja. Despite this fact, he's been trying to remain optimistic with everything going on. He reminds me of Naruto in that way, and all I can do is smile while I listen to him talk about how he is going to get better and stronger than ever.

"I swear it! Once I can train again I'll get even stronger than you Madi! Then I will beat you in battle and take you on a real date!" Lee tells me with a smile.

Returning the smile I respond, "I look forward to it Lee."

By the time we leave Ichiraku's night has fallen. Lee and I return to his hotel room, but Gai is waiting there for us ready to scold Lee.

"Lee, you know you-" Gai starts.

I interrupt the Shinobi, "It was my idea Gai. I just figured he would need some time away from the hospital so we went to get some food. We stayed out longer than I expected. The time got away from us when we were talking."

Gai sighs and pulls Lee and I into a group hug. I smile at the gesture, and return the embrace. After saying my goodbyes I head down the hall into Sasuke's room. Once I arrive there I'm met with a disturbing sight. Sasuke looks pale and he lies in his bed unconscious. He's in the same state Kakashi is in, so I assume he was also met with one of Itachi's genjutsu's. I sit next to the boy and stare at him, it's so painful to see him like this. My thoughts drift me to sleep.
