As I pack up my things, the realization that I'm going to be alone for the next year and a half hits me. I'm going to see Setami and Kakashi occasionally, but for the most part I'll be all on my own. This is exciting to me in a way.

"So you're really leaving, huh?" Kakashi asks while leaning on my door. As I sling my bag over my shoulder I give him a smile.

"It's finally time. I waited as long as I can and if I don't go now, I know I won't be able to go at all."

Kakashi wraps his arm around my shoulder and we walk downstairs. As we make our way to the first floor, I see Setami doing something in the kitchen.

"MADI! LOOK AWAY!" she shouts out in a panicked state. Kakashi turns me around and we head into the living room, where Rin is playing with some toys. She reaches out to me, and I kneel down next to her.

"What are you playing with?" I ask her in a soft voice. She's two months old now, and her hair is getting longer. Her signature Hatake hair now reaches the back of her head, and the stripe of green remains prominent.

Rin looks up to me and mutters some noises. I have absolutely no clue what she's trying to say. She jumps up and down, obviously excited to be playing with her new toys. The little girl looks just like Kakashi, but she has Setami's grey eyes. They're filled with just as much life as Setami's always are, and I can't help but smile.

The girl shoves her fist in her mouth and starts to bite it. Quickly I take her hand out of her mouth and hand her a teething ring. She chomps on it and I watch the slobber cover her mouth. While they're very cute, babies are also extremely disgusting.

"Madi! Would you bring Rin in here?" Kakashi calls from the kitchen. I pick up the baby and she laughs while tugging on my hair.

"Stop that," I whisper and giggle.

As I enter the kitchen, I see a couple of presents and a poorly frosted cake on the table. 'Happy Birthday Madi!' is written in Kakashi's awful penmanship.

"What is this?" I ask while placing Rin in her highchair.

"Do you really think we forgot about your birthday?" Setami asks and gives me a hug. Kakashi lights the candles and we all take our seats. They sing happy birthday and I just sit awkwardly in my chair.

I blow out all fifteen candles, and everyone claps. Rin does her happy dance in her seat and puts her hands together in an attempt to clap.

We all enjoy the cake. Once that's done, Kakashi washes the dishes and we all laugh. "I wonder if Naruto even remembers it's his birthday," I say with a laugh.

"He probably does, but only because he remembers that it's yours," Setami says with a smile while cleaning the cake off of Rin's face.

Kakashi takes his spot at the table and they start to hand me the presents. Setami tells me to open the big one first, and so I do. As I open the box, I pull out a pair of dark green cargo pants, and a cropped black tank top. It's a turtleneck, and honestly the outfit is really cute but seemingly durable.

"We figured you needed something new for your journey. The clothes you have now are getting too small," Kakashi explains.

With a smile I say, "Thank you, it's perfect."

Setami passes me a bag, "Open this one next!"

In the bag is a set of kunai with red lightning engraved in the side, along with a matching pair of sai. They're so beautiful, and there's also an all red set of shuriken. "These are amazing!" I exclaim. Rin goes out to reach for one of the kunai but I quickly put them in my bag. "Not quite yet, Rin."

Kakashi places the last box in front of me. It's smaller than the other ones, and I carefully undo the wrapping. Inside the box is a plain black mask, just like Kakashi's.

"You can't be recognized while you're out, so this will help you," he explains to me.

"Thank you guys so much," I begin to say, but I'm interrupted by Setami.

"Oh yeah! One more thing, I can't believe I forgot!" she exclaims as she runs up the stairs and into her room. She comes down the stairs, holding a grey vest. "Stand up!" she demands and I raise out of my seat.

Placing the vest around me, Setami looks at me. In the past year and a half I've gotten taller, but she's still a lot taller than me. "It fits perfectly."

I give her and Kakashi a hug. Then I give Rin a kiss on the forehead. I change into the outfit they got me, waiting to put the mask on. As I exit my room, I'm pulled into a hug my Setami. She's crying and I try to comfort her.

"Remember what I've said. No drinking, no boys, no dying, and absolutely no using the Nine Tails chakra. It's all too dangerous," Setami reminds me and I nod. "You've grown to be so beautiful Madi."

"Thank you," I say with a wide smile.

"I wish I could walk you to the gates, but this little shit won't stop crying," she laughs and motions toward Rin, who is looking at me with very sad eyes.

Kakashi is waiting for me at the door, and I give Rin a small hug before leaving with him. "This way," he says.

"But this isn't the way to the gate," I explain.

"I know, just trust me." He stays quiet for a second afterward but then speaks up, "How would you like a tattoo?"

"Hell yeah," I say to him.

"Since you can't wear the Uzumaki crest, since it would give it away, I was thinking you could get it tattooed somewhere hidden."

"Really?"

"Why not?" he says with a joking tone. "I couldn't say anything in front of Setami though, she'd kill me. So if you tell her, just know my blood is on your hands."

We both laugh and walk into the tattoo shop. Kakashi tells the girl about the tattoo design, and I decide to get it in between my shoulder blades.

"Can I just get it outlined in black? I don't want you to fill it in with any color please," I inform the tattoo artist. She smiles at me and I take off my tank top. Kakashi is waiting outside and I lay down on the table.

It hurts slightly, but I've endured far worse. Once she's finished, she turns me toward a mirror so I can see the tattoo. It looks great, and it's kind of red on the outside, but that's just from the pain.

"How do you like it?" asks the lady as I put my clothes back on.

I give her a smile, "It looks amazing."

"I'm glad you think so," she says with a smile.

I walk out to see Kakashi who is paying for the tattoo, and I give him a hug.

Once we arrive at the gates, Kakashi turns and we face each other. He touches his forehead to mine, "Please be safe."

"I will, and you take care. If anything happens to either of them I will kill you," I warn him. He chuckles and pulls me into a hug.

"I love you," I tell him as I pull away from the hug.

"I love you too. See you in six months."

I turn and run into the forest, not turning back. We decided I'll see them in six months and then every two months after that. After soaring through the trees for a couple of hours, I pull off my shirt and take out my mask. It goes all the way down to under my chest, almost acting as a bra. After I put it on, I pull my shirt over my head and continue. First stop; the hidden mist village.
