Foul Love (Sasuke x OC)

"MADDIIIIIII!" says a loud voice as Setami comes busting through the door. Enter Setami, Kakashi, Gai, Sasuke, Sakura, Neji, Tenten, and Shikamaru.

Surprise washes over me and my face flushes. So many people... I'm wrapped in Setami Sensei's arms before I even have time to process what's going on. She pins my arms to my side and then looks a me. "Oh my god you scared me to death. Kurta explains how you were running from Orochimaru but we can talk about that later... For now let's celebrate you being alive!"

"Okay...?" I say. "How long was I out for?"

"Only two days," Neji informs me with a slight smile. I exit my seat and throw my empty cup of ramen in the trash. Walking over to the couch, I sit down and tell everyone to come over here. I sit in between Shikamaru and Sasuke. Tenten gives me a big hug and a smile, and Neji pats my head before taking a seat next to Tenten.

Kakashi and Setami sit next to each other and hold hands. I'm glad they're not hiding their relationship anymore, but Shikamaru just stares at them in surprise. After I punch his arm, Shikamaru looks at me, "What was that for?"

I lean in and whisper in his ear, "Don't stare at them."

Shikamaru smiles at me, "Fine. I missed my shogi partner though, it would have sucked if you were dead. You almost give me a challenge."

"Almost? I could have sworn last time I was close to beating you," I state with a laugh.

Shikamaru stands up and extends his hand to me, and I take it. He helps me up. "I guess we'll just have to play to see," he challenges.

"May the best player win," I say and pull out a shogi board. Him and I sit across from each other at the coffee table, and everyone converses.

"Madi!" Tenten says as she leans in closer to me so she doesn't have to yell over the other people talking, "Wanna do something tomorrow?"

"Sure, that sounds like it could be fun," I say with my eyes still trained on the board. Shikamaru makes his move, and I need to counteract it. Remembering what he said last time, I try to put him on the defense. My move shocks him, and then looks up at me.

"Maybe you are a challenge," he says and I just smirk. Looking at everyone else for a second, I see Sasuke glaring at Shikamaru and completely ignoring a whining Sakura.

"Sasuke are you even listening me?" asks the agitated pink haired girl.

Sasuke doesn't say anything and Shikamaru doesn't seem to notice the stare. If he does then he doesn't let it bother him.

Shika and I keep playing for a while, but he eventually wins. "I told you, I'm the best."

To this comment I groan and let my head hang low. Shikamaru and I sit back down on the couch and once more I sit next to Sasuke.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I ask Sasuke, but he ignores me. "Alright asshole," I mumble but I know he heard me. I get up and walk to the kitchen to prepare a snack and Neji comes with me.

"Hey Neji, what's up?"

"Are you okay? I mean after everything that's happened to you... I was worried," he says.

"Things like this are turning into a new norm, so it's not as surprising anymore. I was scared but nothing too bad."

"Good," he says and helps me prepare some sandwiches for everyone.

I bring them over and we all laugh and eat, except Sasuke doesn't laugh. I'm thankful everyone is okay after the attack, and I enjoy their company while I can. After everyone starts to leave, their is a time where it is just Kakashi, Sasuke, Setami Sensei and I left.

"Madi, we need to talk," Kakashi Sensei said to me.

"I know, ask me anything," I respond.

Setami Sensei looks at me, "What happened while you were with Orochimaru?"

I heave a sigh and begin to explain, "At first I wasn't conscious. All I remember from the attack was fighting off sand ninja and then something being injected into my neck. I woke in some sort of cave, and I really had no idea where I was until I saw Kabuto and Orochimaru. Orochimaru's arms were wrapped in bandages and seemed to be useless, and Kabuto was tending to him. I couldn't move my body when I first woke up, and Kabuto placed me in a chair. Orochimaru told me how he needed to transfer his consciousness into my body using some sort of immortality jutsu. I heard Kabuto and him whispering about how he didn't have much time before inevitably dying so he needed a new 'host'. The way they talked about it almost sounded like he was a parasite, and I was going to be the new host. He also explained that with my body he would inherit the nine tailed, and every ability I already had. Kurama helped me out of there and proved his loyalty to me. I ran until I couldn't feel my legs, that's when I summoned Kurta and passed out."

"How did you find your way back to the leaf?" Kakashi asked me.

"I asked Kurama to locate Naruto, since he's connected to the both of us. This gave me a general direction of where Naruto was so I followed it," I responded.

Sasuke was still quiet the whole time, but then he spoke up. "Did they hurt you?"

"No, they didn't get the chance."

"But he was planning to kill you."

"Yes, but it's the same thing he's out to do with you. We need to be more careful. I shouldn't have gotten caught, I was irresponsible."

Setami Sensei looked up at me, "You can't blame yourself for that Madi. No one planned for an attack on the leaf, you couldn't have prepared for what happened." I nod and don't say anything else.

"We'll just have to keep our guards up," Kakashi says. "That goes for the both of you," he orders and gazes towards Sasuke.

Once Setami and Kakashi leave, just Sasuke and I are left. "Are you going to tell me what's wrong?" I ask him, hoping he answers.

"Shikamaru really likes you," he says coldly.

"Yeah? We're friends that's how that works," I try to explain to him but he just shakes his head.

"You really are an idiot. He doesn't want to be just friends with you, he likes you as something more."

I let out a small laugh, "No he doesn't Sasuke, you're thinking about it too much."

Sasuke scoffs, "You're wrong. The way he stares at you... it's the same way I stare at you."

This surprises me, Shikamaru doesn't like me like that. He couldn't possibly, but it really seems to bother Sasuke. "Are you jealous?" I tease.

"No. I just don't like it."

"You're jealous. Sasuke Uchiha, getting jealous over some girl?"

"I'm not jealous."

"Just admit it you imbecile," I say and lay down on his lap. Habitually, he starts to run his hands through my hair.

"I will not, because it's not true," he says, refusing to look at me.

"Fine," I say and roll my eyes. "I guess I'll just go find Shika and lay down on his lap. Do you think he'd play with my hair if I asked him to?" I'm smirking and biting my lip, waiting for Sasuke to react.

Sasuke finally looks down at me, anger in his glare. "Shika?"

"I mean that's his name," I say and look away from Sasuke. He then moves my face to look at him. My eyebrow raises, pretending to look confused. "What is it Sasuke?" I tease.

"Stop."

"Stop what?"

"Talking," is all he says before kissing me. I kiss him back and he pulls away. Giggling, I pull him back and our lips meet once more.

Our faces are still close together when I tell him, "No matter how you think Shikamaru looks at me, I will never look at Shikamaru the way I look at you." I lay my head back down on Sasuke's lap and I fall asleep.
