Whirl of Emotions and Feelings

"Well... in conclusion I have to say that the profits of the company is growing, Miss Kim. The profit increased a quite large percent compared to two years ago." Mr. Daniel Simpson, Fiona's family auditor told me. He was actually the one who manages the family business which the Avana's and Kim's has. Mabuti nga pinaunlakan nya ang request ko. We had a contract with Shaun's parents who were the accountants of our firm but it seems hindi ako satisfied and I have this unknown feeling of curiosity about it because few months ago, it is rumored that someone is stealing from the firm. Alam kong magagaling sila tito Thomas and tita Marielle sa field nila pero ayokong mamintang na may 'under the table' na nangyayari and so, I decided to have Daniel to re-audit everything from two years ago up to the present. I was at home today for I was cease to go to work for a week according to Alex and as well as mom na kakauwi lang nya kahapon. Hindi ko lang talaga pinalampas ang resulta ng overall profits ng firm. Gusto kong maniwala na walang nangyayari kasi alam kong nasa maayos na kamay ang firm na tinayo namin ni Fiona but it's my unknown curiosity who pushes me to do so.

"That's very good to hear, Mr. Daniel." I sipped my coffee and smiled at him. "But I was wondering if there was something odd at the profit standing between those years?"

"Yes, about that Miss Kim, I have found out something but I don't know how to say it." He murmurs as he lift his cup of green tea and took a sip.

"Just say it, please." I murmur.

He clears his throat and began to speak. "I've found out some certain questionable expenses in this particular year." He let me see the computations, pinpoints it and he continues to explain. "This expenses I discovered costs more than a million, Miss Kim."

"W-what?! T-that large amount of money?" I gasped. "For what extent?"

He continues to speak. "I tried to trace Miss Kim, from where did it came from and I was surprised that it leads me to the engineering department. All construction expenses, operational expenses and the like. Hinanap ko ang mga dokumentong magpapatunay nito but I always lost on my tracks. Wala naman ito sa reports ng recent audit ng accounting firm na ka-kontrata nyo which I find it confusing and was wondering kung bakit hindi nakita ang ganitong kalaking pera ang nawala sa kumpanya nyo without the consent of the board committees. Hindi naman sa namimintang, Miss Kim but I feel that the people behind this are hiding something."

"I-I undestand what you mean, Mister Daniel. I know you're doing your job but I just can't believe that a very large amount of money was already missing on this company." I feel so ashamed na ganito ang nangyari sa firm at sa Engineering Department pa! As I stare on those papers that was audited, one person immediately came into my mind. He isn't just an ordinary person nor an employee. He was the former Senior Engineer of the firm and above all, he was the person whom I used to trust and loved.

Shaun...

Did he just stole this very large amount of money from the company? Ayokong maniwala na ginawa nya ito. He's not that kind of person. Kilala ko si Shaun but those papers tells me otherwise. Those papers aren't lying. At this moment, many questions baffles my mind and I don't know if I'll get an answer from it.

If the accusations were real, why did you do this such a horrible thing?

I've been here in my home for two days and I'm bored as hell. Kinausap na ako ni mommy tungkol sa nangyari sa pag-uusap nila ng doctor ko and it seems she really knew about it. Well, I remember how she constantly calling me up and telling me that I should go to Alex but since I forgot all about it, wala talaga. Later I realized everything and it was my fault for not remembering my own check-up schedule with doc Alex. I was lazy, sitting on the couch watching netflix on my laptop when someone knocked the door.
