Thaddeus' POV

"Yes, Tita Sabrina. I will." That was my decision when tita Sabrina told me everything.

"I'm really sorry, hijo. Something came up and I really need to come back to Korea. I'm just doing this for her own good but I know you're the one I can rely on and you never fail me. Please do tell my daughter not to worry about anything and I'll be back on the morning for her birthday." She says, a hint of worriness and longing in her voice. "Are you really sure you'll do it? I know how much busy are you, Thaddeus and as much as possible I won't bother..."

"I assure you, tita I will do it and don't worry too much, she'll be fine. I promise." I made an assurance to Saab's mother. I can't ingnore her plea to me for I made a promise and I don't want to break it. I'm not that kind of man who breaks promises. "I'll be seeing her in a few minutes."

"Thank you, Thaddeus. I'll see you soon then. Have a great day, my dear."

After that unexpected, drastic phone call, I have to turn my point even if I should go. If something bad happens again to her, I don't know if I can forgive myself. This is a matter of trust and promises that should never be broken and once it's broken, it's barely impossible to mend it again.

I need to see her. That's what matters.

Saab's POV

"Hi couz! How are you?" Hindi ko na siya kinorect sa pagtawag nya sa'kin ng pinsan kahit hindi naman talaga kami kadugo. Our bonds were much more than being literally cousins tsaka ayaw kong masira ang relasyon namin. "Missed me?" Ugh, yuck! Just kidding though.

"Nope, I don't miss you. Asawa mo lang ang namimiss ko. Kinalimutan na ata ako ng babaeng iyon!" I chuckled.

"You don't miss me eh? How pathetic I am!" See, match made in heaven talaga sila ni Fiona. Mga OA!

"Because I didn't miss you. Simple. Mahirap bang intindihin iyon?" I heared his sad sigh and I giggled. "Wow lang, usually ako yung tumatawag sa'yo pero ngayon parang bumaligtad na ata ang panahon. I sense something something fishy aren't I?" I started to narrow my eyes. Parang may gagawin na naman itong pinsan kong loko-loko slash overreacting slash head over heels in love sa asawa nyang bestfriend ko. "Do you need something my dear cousin?"

"Nope. I don't need anything except for inviting you to have dinner with us on the 14th and why not make Thaddeus as your date though." Ano ka nya?! Date? As in D-A-T-E? Sinasabi ko na nga ba talaga! "Di'ba namimiss mo na si Fiona? Why not take this opportunity to see her and chat with her." You're so good at changing topics don't you? Sasapakin na talaga kita diyan eh! Bwisit lang naman!

"I don't need a date!" I muttered, annoyed at him. "I can come on my own."

"You would say that, Saab. But I think you need some companion, somebody to drive you and be your partner tonight. Afterall, invited naman talaga si Thaddeus and apparently, magsasabay at magsasabay talaga kayong pupunta dito. " He chuckles. I know what you mean, Jae Hyun. Wag mo na ako paikot-ikutin! "I can't find any reasons that you can't do it, Saab. Besides, he's just living next door on your unit." I know he's smirking right now. Bwiset lang talaga! Kinonchaba 'to ng asawa nya eh!

"No!" Binaba ko na ang telepono ko. Nakakainis! Malamang nalaman nyang magkakapit-bahay lang pala kami ni kuya nang dahil sa asawa nyang maganda. Saan pa nga ba? Sarap lang kutusan sa tagiliran ang babaeng iyon!

Matapos ang araw na tinawagan ako ni Jae Hyun, hindi na nya akong muling tinawagan para ipilit ako sa gusto nilang mag-asawa. Bahala sila! Tsaka, magpapakita naman ako sa dinner nila kahit na ginaganyan ako ng dalawang iyon. Kahit sabado bukas, pero ayun tone-toneladang trabaho parin ang naghihintay sa'kin. I was about to go out of my office when I heared the loud vibration of my phone against console beside the outlet. Muntik ko nang nakalimutan ang phone kong na-overcharge na. Nang tingnan ko ito, nakita ko ang numero ni Alex. Agad ko na tong tinawagan. Ilang araw na ring hindi maganda ang signal ng letcheng service provider ko. Minsan nakakatanggap ng calls and text minsan na-dedelayed pa! Dagdag problema nga naman...
