Truth to be Told (Pt. 1)

"You guys are here!" Tita Franchesca greeted me and kissed my both cheeks. She looked at Thaddeus with gleam in her eyes and greeted him as well. "Welcome home, my dearest son." She kissed him on the cheek and Thad just smiled back at his mother.

"Good evening, tita France. Thank you for inviting us over for dinner." I smiled as we come in together. She ushered as to the living room and we chat together. "We bought wine for us tonight to enjoy."

"Oh dear, you should call me mom starting now. You should get used to it. " She smiles as she taps my jaw. "Oh, you look so beautiful, sweetie. What did you do to look that radiant?"

"We're still not engaged, tita Franchesca." I smiled shyly as I placed the wine on the coffee table. "Thank you tita but, I didn't do or put anything. I just took a rest for some time. Madalas na kasi akong nahihilo lalo na sa trabaho ko. Pero ngayon, medyo okay na yung pakiramdam ko."

"That's good that you had a rest because the last time I saw you, you looked so restless. But anyway you know what Saab, I was upset that Thad never formally introduced you as his girlfriend." She glared acidly at her son who's listening to our conversation nonchalantly. Napatawa na lang ako sa sinabi ni tita. Sometimes she acts like Fiona and most of the time she acts like Suzy. "I just know it through the commotion he and Jae Hyun had at Fiona's birthday. He never manage to come over to my home and check us up if we are still alive or not."

"Come on, mom. Don't be so overreacting. You're exactly like Fiona, overreacting over simple things." He snorts. I know, he's clearly pissed off when this is the topic. About how he fell in love which he is so allergic to. "Besides, you already know Saab even before we got into serious relationship. What more I could tell you then about her?"

"About how did you court her? How did you make her say yes? Or maybe how did you tell her that you love her or-"

"Ma!" He whined angrily, glaring at her laughing mother.

"Well look whose here?" Tito Vincent walked in to the room and smiled. The wrinkles that was on the side of his eyes were evident. "I'm glad you come over, son. I thought you won't come tonight."

"Dad, it's not like that. I'm just busy with my work." Thaddeus said, in a very courteous tone. "I can still come over to our family dinner like we always used to."

"Why don't you introduce to us your girlfriend and soon to be wife, I guess?" I gulped nervously. Well, what's with the marriage topics now? We just have this serious relationship for half a year and it seems the wedding bells starts to ring. We don't even talk about it. Yes, he talked once about having a family with me. But marriage? Nope, not yet. "Right, Miss Kim?" I just smiled shyly. I'm not that comfortable of discussing marriage.

"Saab na lang po, tito Vincent." I smiled as I told him in a courteous tone.

"Dad, mom, please. Enough with the marriage thing." I heard Thaddeus grumbled annoyingly. "Okay, I know you guys already knew Saab for a long time and we've been together for... Let's say a quite long time. But we're not engaged for pete's sake! Don't rush us into things that we don't want to talk about." I saw tito Vincent sudden change of his expression. He sighed, silently.
