Falling

St Mungos Part 2

They had been sat in uncomfortable silence for two hours when they finally received some news. Queenie and Jacob were sat beside each other, not talking but with their hands interlaced. Nagini was sat on the floor reading a children's book that had been discarded previously. Theseus alternated from sitting jittery beside her, to pacing rapidly to interrogating healers for information. However, the most information they got was that they were both alive. Tina had watched their family panic and fidget but she couldn't move, she felt trapped, and to be fair if she tried to move she was almost certain she would faint.

The healer was a kind looking and had a cluster of blonde curls held in a tight bun upon her head. Her glasses balanced precariously on her nose as she looked through them at a clipboard.
"Hello, this is Ms Lestrange and Mr Scamanders family correct?" They all nodded uncertainly
"Excellent and which one of you is Theseus Scamander" Theseus stopped his pacing and said
"I am"
"Come with me. There is some news" Queenie gasped loudly from beside Tina and began to practically vibrate in excitement
"OH MY GAWD" She exclaimed and Theseus looked terrified.
"Mr Scamander come with me" The witch insisted she gestured towards the door Leta disappeared behind then momentarily turned back to the group
"I'm Healer Madeline Hyland and ill be caring for both Ms Lestrange and Mr Scamander so you will probably see a lot of me now come on"

She lead Theseus through the door and left the rest of them in the waiting area. They all turned to Queenie who made a lips are sealed gesture and giggled
"I think its best if they told us themselves"
"Come on Queenie!" Jacob complained good-naturedly
"Nope!"
"Please Ms Goldstein?" Nagini asked quietly
"Oh Honey you can call me Queenie and No."Queenie gained a smug smile and laid back. The entire atmosphere felt too normal and anger began to boil deep inside Tina.
Do they not care? Does Newt mean that little to them! They've all got their loved ones back why would they-
"Oh, Teen we don't think that at all" Queenie tried to soothe but Queenie's invasion of privacy was the final straw.
"OH REALLY? YOU AREN'T SHOWING IT! BUT WHY SHOULD YOU CARE YOU ALL HAVE YOUR LOVED ONES BACK! YOU'RE ALL TOGETHER AGAIN BUT MINE- B-but mine-"
"We're sorry Tina we're all scared" Nagini interrupted as her shouting disintegrated into sobs. She was so sick of crying. How she was still even able to cry she had no idea.
"Yeah, I love him like a brother" Jacob added.
Tina tried to steady her breathing as she felt the guilt wash over her.
"Of course, I'm sorry for yelling" Tina breathed
"It's understandable" Nagini replied "We forgive you"

Tina sunk into the chair and decided to remain silent, her brain was fried and Newt was still being messed with. The time was reasonably short for a no maj hospital but most witches and wizards were out of the theatre in around thirty minutes thanks to magic but they were now at the three-hour mark and there had been no information from the healers with Newt. Suddenly a door swung open and an ecstatic looking Theseus came out. Tina as well as the rest of the group eyed him expectantly and he was practically bouncing as he blurted out
"Letas three months pregnant!"
"Mercy Lewis, that's fantastic!" Queenie exclaimed despite already knowing
"Congratulations Buddy" Jacob chuckled as he went to shake his hand
"A baby! That's tiny!" Nagini gasped as if the entire premise of a baby was a shock to her. Theseus turned to Tina who he must have noticed had stayed silent during the entire exchange. She unsteadily rose to her feet and walked towards a wary Theseus. She paused for a second in front of him before engulfing him in a hug. Theseus hugged her strongly back and Tina whispered
"Congratulations Theseus"
"Thanks, Tina." He whispered back.
He really is a hugger Tina thought as Theseus didn't relinquish his ironclad grip on her shoulders.
He finally released her when Madeline darted across into the room which Newt had been taken into and emerged a second later levitating an unconscious Newt. She paused and looked at the group
"Would you like me to extend Letas room and place him in there? Tina remained staring at her unconscious boyfriend but nodded definitively. Madeline entered Letas room with Newt floating serenely beside her and then returned a minute later to beckon them in.
