Wedding Time!

Newt awoke in the early hours of Saturday morning and had a blissful five seconds of sleepy oblivion until Nausea crashed over him like a wave. Trying to steady his swirling stomach he took a few deep breaths but feeling his stomach violently contract he leapt off the bed and all but ran to the bathroom. He managed to get to the toilet just in time to empty the contents of his stomach into the bowl. Hoping half-heartedly he hadn't woken the rest of the household with his retching (and that Theseus' silencing charms were still in play) he continued to hurl loudly. He had begun to dry heave when a sleepy feminine voice came from over his shoulder
"Newt?" He took a deep breath as his stomach began to settle and managed to let out a groan in response, resting his head on the porcelain rim. He felt soft, familiar hands run gently through his hair then Tina's voice asking
"Where's the anti-nausea potion?"
"Case" Newt said hoarsely and he heard Tina mutter "Accio" then a muffled bang as what he assumed was his case met her hand. Then there was some faint rattling and a soothing hand was rubbing his shoulder
"Newt honey you need to sit up" Blearily he blinked then forced himself to sit up against the wall. He hadn't noticed but Tina had shut the door and turned on the lights and was now sitting opposite him also leaning against the wall.
"Here" She whispered, handing him the lilac potion he hadn't had to use in some time. He drank half the bottle then placed it gingerly on the sink beside him. Instantly he felt the worse effects ebb away and he sighed in relief, letting his body slide down the wall slightly as he softly closed his eyes.

"Better?" Tina asked gently, obviously having noticed the pained expression leave his face.
"Much better thanks" Newt replied hoarsely cracking his eyes open once again. He was trying to probe his mind for memories but the last thing he remembered was-
I bloody ordered firewhiskey
"I drank fire whiskey didn't I?" Newt mumbled and Tina nodded
"Only two apparently but you seemed a lot more than that"
"Two? Oh, Merlin. I didn't do anything too embarrassing, did I?" Newt asked dreading her response
"Um, well- you didn't do anything too bad when you came home. You almost cried, said I should go be with Achilles then you uh kissed me quite intensely"
Merlins Beard
It took him a moment to process the embarrassment but once his sluggish brain had fully comprehended what he'd done he buried his head in his hands in defeat.
"I am so sorry Tina. I didn't make you uncomfortable did I?" Newt didn't see but felt a hand gently tap his forehead, so he hesitantly looked up to see Tina with a bashful smile on her face.
"Actually it was quite the opposite." Newt blinked then sent a shaky smile back, his cheeks heating up as he did so
"It was more I knew you wouldn't remember" She continued. Newt ducked his head under the impression of checking his watch to hide his rising embarrassment. He checked the time and saw that it was 5.45. He had left all of his creatures with Bunty, except for Picket who he had left in his room before leaving to The Crooked Stool, at her insistence that she could manage for two days so had no creatures to tend to (except for his brother).
"What's the time?" Tina asked, cocking her head to one side.
"It's um quarter to six. I believe my mother set everyone's alarm clocks to go off at seven"
"So we've got an hour of quiet?" Tina asked, excitement creeping into her voice.
"It would seem so," Newt asked weakly.
"Let's go back to bed then" He froze and she rolled her eyes but her cheeks were also a lovely flushed shade"To cuddle, Newt".
"I'm just going to brush my teeth, care to join me?" Newt asked quietly and Tina nodded picking her toothbrush out of the collection currently in a cup on the sink.

After their teeth were brushed (and Newt had rinsed his mouth several times) they snuck back to bed and snuggled under the covers, propped up against the old wooden headboard. Tina entwined their fingers then rested her head on his shoulder.
I would happily wake up to this every day for the rest of my life. Newt thought happily before quickly disposing of the thought. No matter how tumultuous they had only been together two months, he had decided a few days ago that he wanted to wait for a while before even thinking about rings. For no other reason other than proprietary and also he wanted to leave a reasonably large gap between his and his brother's wedding.
"What are you thinking Newt" Tina murmured from his shoulder "I can practically hear the cogs turning" Not wanting to lie, nor tell the full truth he sighed and simply said
"Futures" Tina seemed to deem that as an acceptable response and went quiet again before saying
"Tell me a story Newt" Mildly amused Newt asked
"What sort of story" She seemed to ponder this for a second before saying
"Creatures" He racked his mind for a more interesting one then began
"Around a year ago I got a rather rare opportunity to explore the Amazon due to the discovery of a colony of Phoenixes. Now it's rather full of non-magical creatures but its magical colonies are simply marvellous..."
