"Jungkook, finish-...Hey hey hey!" Taehyung quickly held his left hand in front of Jungkook's forehead to stop his face from smashing down on his breakfast. The younger was drowsy on the breakfast table beside him.

He delicately pushed the boy's forehead back, making him groan in a raspy tone, eyebrows deeply furrowed as he adjusted himself on the chair. After their encounter last night, multiple thoughts had kept fogging Jungkook's brain. He couldn't have slept anymore even if he tried.

"You can go back to sleep in the van." Taehyung said with a small smile as he could understand how hard the younger boy was trying to stay awake. Taehyung took the last sip of his apple juice, "Now hurry up and finish your breakfast. We'll be late."

"How the hell are you so awake?" Jungkook complained haughtily, lazily inserting the toast in his mouth.

Taehyung only let out a chuckle at the younger. He wanted to say how some things didn't— couldn't— affect him anymore because he was very used to them, one of those things being lack of sleep; but no way would he ever actually admit to anyone that he had obtained a moderate case of insomnia in the last few years. It was embarrassing.

"Jimin just texted me. They'll be here in a couple minutes." He declared and locked his phone as he stood up to go to the sink to wash his hands, while Mrs. Jeon came back from the backyard through the backdoor in the kitchen after her morning routine with the plants.

She patted Taehyung's shoulders with a proud smile, "Taehyung-ah doesn't seem sleepy at all." The aforementioned guy only silently cupped the side of his neck with a pursed smile. "Kook-ah, hurry up, honey."

And with that, she went to her bedroom for some work, whereas Taehyung stood in front of the sink, trying to keep up a conversation with the younger boy to stop him from falling asleep on the table.

"Are you gonna talk to Lisa about it?" He asked, softly yet gravely. Jungkook looked up at the vase in front of him. He got what Taehyung was referring to.

"I-..." He trailed off, voice barely above a whisper. He tried but couldn't come up with a reply.

"You what?"

"Yah, Jungkookie! You haven't finished your breakfast yet?" They had to stop there, turning to the door when they heard Seokjin's squeaking voice.

Taehyung gawked at his older brother, his eyes wide and sparkling to find him standing there in Jungkook's dining room.

"Hyung!" He squealed in joy, immediately running to hug him.

"Yah, this shirt is freshly ironed! Don't make any creases appear." Jin scolded, even though he patted his brother's head fondly. Two people were the dearest to him: first, his little brother; second, Namjoon.

Taehyung pulled away from the hug with a little titter, "Where are the others?"

"Waiting in the car." Jin replied before walking to Jungkook, who was zoning out on the chair, eyes still blankly fixated on the vase. Taehyung could tell he was deep in thought, only getting out of it with a startle as Jin massaged his shoulders a little, "Come on, Jungkookie, we gotta get going!"

"How are you, hyung? Missed you here yesterday." Taehyung followed his brother almost like a lost puppy. Though it irked him when anyone acted like a baby and he himself never acted like one, don't blame him if he had missed being babied by his older brother for three long years and now craved it.
