"Jungkook?...Is that you?"

Jungkook knew that voice too well to not turn around, but when he indeed found Taehyung standing there at the entrance of the terrace, he didn't understand why he suddenly felt a little nervous. Maybe it was the fact that he didn't expect to be confronting the older so soon, when it would be just the two of them.

"What are you doing here?" Taehyung asked, his voice soft and low as he slowly walked closer.

"Just chilling." Jungkook shrugged, acting nonchalant, "What about you? Done for the night?" A smirk danced on his lips. He would not let Taehyung get under his skin this time.

Taehyung gnawed on his bottom lip silently as he reached Jungkook. The tone the boy was using made him feel guilty. He would've been fine if Jungkook would show that he was angry, but nonchalance was frustrating.

"You look disappointed. Why?" Jungkook scoffed, "Ms. Suzy kicked you out or what?"

Taehyung didn't feel like replying though. He was sorry for what he had done. He simply stood next to Jungkook, his forearms balanced on the cold steel railings just like the other boy as they watched the waves and the seashore for the next few minutes. It was silent on the terrace, but a chaos inside the minds of the two boys. Jungkook kept waiting for Taehyung to say something, maybe an apology, while Taehyung kept thinking about how to initiate the talk.

The salty gusts of wind hit them, making Taehyung regret not wearing a bandana as his long bangs were constantly getting into his eyes. They could hear crowds shouting and loud music coming from somewhere in the resort. It was the last Saturday night of the summer. Of course, people were partying their hearts out. The seven of them would probably be dancing around too if Taehyung hadn't fucked up, for the umpteenth time since they had come here. And for that, he owed his hyungs a proper apology, he was aware; but since Jungkook was on top of that list, he finally let out a sigh and started,

"I'm sorry for what happened earlier."

Jungkook looked at him, not having expected the older to budge that easily. He bit the inside of his cheeks to control the anger from kicking in as he calmly said, "Why are you sorry? I get it. It was just a prank. You aren't bisexual. I was naïve and you made a monkey out of me in front of everyone. It's no big deal." He shrugged, the gesture making Taehyung mad.

"No, Jungkook, it's not that! I had to put up an act in front of them to get away from the situation you all of a sudden shoved me into." Taehyung helplessly tried to explain, somewhat certain that it would be hella difficult to make the younger believe a single word. "I wasn't ready to tell people yet and you just-...you just outed me!" Frustrated, he threw his arms in the air.
