"I'm talking to the owner of my apartment this very tomorrow; see if he can manage me a new apartment, a bigger one." Seokjin grumbled as he and Taehyung stood at the left wing of the stage, waiting for the Bangtan Boys' performances of Autumn Leaves and Rain to end so that they would enter.
Until then, Taehyung had his eyes fixated on Jungkook performing Rain onstage. With Seokjin's words, he turned away and looked at him.
"Why?" He asked, frowning in confusion.
"You're asking me why?" Seokjin snapped, "You're going to move in with me. That's why. Enough of you staying near Jungkookie and messing with him!"
Taehyung's face fell, heart skipping a beat. Moving in with his brother? No no no! That would entirely obliterate the long lost freedom he had found back in Seoul, again putting him in a cage.
Seokjin wouldn't let him LIVE! No smoking. No alcohol. No late night drives. No spending as much time as he could with Jungkook....
Taehyung would die if that happened.
Mr. & Mrs. Jeon never acted like those parents who supervised their kids' every action, but Seokjin was definitely the type of brother to keep a close eye on what his younger brother was up to. Taehyung couldn't, for the life of him, move in with him. No fucking way!
Well, he was probably worrying for nothing, wasn't he? Seokjin didn't have a permanent job yet and only had to depend on his research fellowship. He couldn't all of a sudden manage to afford a bigger apartment for his brother to move in even if he wanted to.
But as if Seokjin could hear his inner monologue, he flatly said,
"I'm joining this new university as a guest lecturer next month. I can hopefully bear the cost of a bigger apartment."
Shit...
"And you also need to, and you will-" Seokjin pointed his finger at Taehyung, "-find an internship or some other job soon. You can't keep on living with the Jeon's for free. You're not a kid anymore." He said matter-of-factly, then snarked, "Imagine someone letting you live with them at free of cost for almost your entire life and you troubling their son every minute of the day. You can totally relate, can't you, Taehyung-ah?"
