I was desperate by the fact that I could help bring my mother back. She wasn't dead. She was just stuck in a different realm. Her body's here but her mind wasn't. Hindi ko alam kung paano nangyari iyon pero isa lang ang sigurado ako. Once I did my job, she'll be back.
Bago ako tuluyang umalis ng seldang pinagkulungan ko ay nakita ko si Emily na siyang humarang sa dadaanan ko noong araw na iyon. I didn't told the others anything about it.

Napalingon ako sa kanila. Kausap ni Emily si Samael and she called her dad? They didn't even look an inch alike. Siguro nagmana sa mama niya? But I thought Samael's madly in love with my mom? Kaninong anak si Emily?
Tons of questions but I'm not receiving any answers.
"You have to work with me Eira."
My brows furrowed and were about to release the ball of ice I'm manifesting. His next words made me waver.
"I need you to bring Asteria back. You need to bring your mother back."
I was too overwhelmed with the idea that my mother was out there. Nawala na ako sa sarili nang bigla nalang may portal na bumungad sa harapan namin. On the other side of the portal, I saw Anansi waving in the middle of a hallway as if she was expecting this to happen. Pumasok ako sa loob kasunod ko naman sina Samael at Emily.
"Escort her first to Asteria."
"Sure." Anansi walked towards the only door to the end of this hallway. Sumunod naman ako sa kaniya. Naiwan si Emily at Samael sa hallway. They were talking about something but I didn't even care about it to listen.
Gusto kong makita si mommy. I want to see her with my own eyes. I want to see the only person I was fighting for. The reason why I'm here and fighting to be here.
The door made a loud wooden noise. It echoed throughout the room but it didn't awaken the only person peacefully sleeping in the bed.
"Mommy!" Tumakbo ako patungo sa higaan ni mommy. Buhay siya! Nahahawakan ko siya. Makakasama ko na siya. I kneeled beside the bed and held her hand. "Mommy, wake up. Nandito na ako. Mommy."
She wasn't waking.
"Kaya kita kailangan Eira. She's in deep slumber and I need you to bring her back from her realm. It's actually a win-win for us. We could both have her and I don't mind sharing your mother with you."
Pumasok si Samael sa silid at kasunod nito si Emily na namumula ang pisngi. Nag-alala ako pero pinigilan ko na ang sarili na magtanong pa. I just realized what he said. Ako pa ang makikihati? He's the sole reason why she's even on that state!
"Anong gagawin ko?" I gritted my teeth after asking those words. "Paano ko maibabalik si mommy?"
"Madali ka naman palang kausap." Lumapit siya sa kinahihigaan ni mommy at umupo sa bandang paanan nito. Kung pwede ko lang siyang itulak at ilayo kay mommy ay gagawin ko but I'm outnumbered. Anansi and Emily's here. I might end up not doing anything for mommy at all.
