Preference - How you got your weapon(s) ~2~

Frodo: Your sword you found in Moria. When you entered the caves, you found it beside a dwarf skeleton, and saw immediately it would be the perfect weapon for you.

Sam: The knife was a gift from Sam, who told you he didn't want you getting hurt in a fight.

Merry: You purchased your sword in Hobbiton, at a smith's shop. You suspected you might need it for your adventure.

Pippin: The bow and quiver were given to you in Rivendell by Lord Elrond, who saw you were skilled at archery. Your knife was just a random weapon you chanced to find at the Prancing Pony, though you suspect it wasn't really left there by chance.

Aragorn: Your weapons were given to you from a ranger you didn't know, who told you to use them well as he entrusted them to you.

Legolas: All your weapons were from a family heritage- They had belonged to your father, your father's father, back for many generations.

Gimli: You forged your shortsword yourself, and as for the throwing axe, it was a gift from your father.

Boromir: When you joined the guard, your sword and shield were given to you.

Faramir: Your sword and shield were given to you when you volunteered as scout during the war, and your bow you bought from a poor but skilled merchant you met one day.

Éomer: You got your spear and sword from a fallen Rider of Rohan in a battle, and fought so fiercely that day that you were allowed to keep them.

Éowyn: Éowyn had been the one to teach you how to swordfight, and after you had successfully learned everything she knew, she gave you as a present the sword you now fight with.

Arwen: You had your knives for as long as you can remember, which is long for an elf, but you vaguely remember getting them from a hooded person when you were very young.

Thorin: Your sword isn't very special, you got it when you decided you wanted to join Thorin Oakenshield's company.

Fili: You got your battleaxe in a troll cave long before you met the members of Thorin's company.

Kili: You carved your shortbow yourself, and your sword was a present from Kili.

Bilbo: You found your sword in the troll cave after Gandalf turned them to stone, and no one, not even Gandalf, could tell how the sword was made since it was a mix of dwarf and elf forgery.

Bard: Your sword, you stole from the Laketown armoury, and your knife was from Bard.

Tauriel: You got your bow at an elvish weapon shop, and the quiver came with it.
