Aera's POV

Walking inside my classroom I sighed feeling bored and empty. All the previous, days I'd be busy at Jake's uni preparing for the sports day but now that I was kicked out of the team, I had to get back to regular classes again and it wasn't that fun. Jungwon from beside me pulled my hair slight making me frown. "Owww! What?" I looked up as he took off his glasses and looked at me.

"Update." He said out as I sat up straight but with a C shaped back anyways and looked down at my fingers shaking my head slowly. "No progress.." The guy sighed playing with his pen as I pouted. The professor soon came in as we got back to being the stressed up students we were.

Jake's POV

It was the last day before the weekend and I just got to the campus. Getting inside, I could feel everyone's gaze on me. What happened now? All I could think of was that Aera probably pulled up some new drama again but she wasn't even here today. "What.." I slowly said as everyone once looked at me and the next moment they were gossipping among themselves.

Arin noticed me and quickly came up to me. "What's wrong with everyone?" I asked her as she said nothing until a voice interrupted us. "Jake." I looked as I saw Heejin walking up to me with a smile. She stood in front of me as everyone internally panicked. I noticed the rose in her hand, already guessing what this is about. "I think you know what I'm going to say." The girl smiled as I stayed neutral not knowing what to say or do.

"I like you. Will you go out with me?" Well that was fast. Heejin reached out her hand which was holding the rose as I looked at it, not knowing what to say. "Heejin-ah.."

Aera's POV

Class was over and I was currently dragging myself outside with Jungwon by my side. "Aera!" I heard someone shout as I noticed one of my friends who was in the event team run up to me. "What happened Minjeong?" She panted as I looked at her worriedly. "Jake..." She said out catching her breathe. "What? What happened to Jake?" She looked at me with tensed up eyes as I looked at Jungwon and then back at her. "Someone told me, Heejin asked Jake out and he said yes." I felt everything go silent after I heard this. Like in the movie, that one delicate line of silence. I felt like I could hear it.

"Minjeong what are you saying?" Jungwon worriedly asked her as she nodded. I didn't wait for her to finish or for Jungwon to say anything and right away started running to the named guy's university.

All I hoped while running was of this to just be a rumour and nothing else.

But I didn't know it anymore. Breathing heavily, I stopped my feet from crashing onto the floor as I saw the familiar face a few feet away. My eyes witness Jake patting Heejin's head before the girl hugged him as he returned it. It all crashed down to me as I stared at the heartbreaking moment.

Walking backwards, I made a noise as my eyes met Jake's before I turned around running away. The tears had started to come back as I ran letting the sharp cold stab me every now and then. And soon my cheeks were all wet. I got tired of running as I stopped holding my knees as the salty water continued falling off my eyes. "Why.." I cried out staring up at the sky which was soon going to turn dark blue.

Hours passed by as I sat at the emory street bar. Sipping through the bitter drink, I bit my lips before I rested my head on the table crying. "You've been crying for so long." The old lady said out as I didn't bother to answer her causing her to sigh. I was drunk and in pain and I wasn't hiding it at the moment. I just couldn't. My phone rang as I saw Jungwon's number on it and quickly cut it.

Grabbing my backpack, I tried my best to not fall and walked outside the street bar. Sniffling I looked at my phone as I dialed the known number.

Jake's POV

Drying my hair with the towel, I noticed my phone rang as I saw Aera call me. I cut it immediately and continued doing what I was doing until the girl kept calling me without giving up. After the 5th time, I found myself taking it as all I heard was silent for a while. "I thought you wouldn't take the call." I bit my lips hearing her voice clearly understanding she was probably crying somewhere. "Aera." I said out as she sniffled sobbing in frustration.

"Why can't you love me again Jake?" I could hear her loud cries from the other side of the call. Sighing, I decided to not cut the call. "You're drunk. Where are you?" But the girl didn't answer to what I asked her. "I love you baby. I love you so much." She sobbed making me frustrated. "Where are you Aera?" She kept crying but after a while told me where she was as I immediately grabbed the car and went to get her drunk self.

Getting out I saw Aera walking clumsily on the street while wearing her heavy back as she held onto the bear bottle. "Stop drinking." I took the bottle which was almost empty now from her as she looked at me with her red eyes. The girl held my hands as my eyes met her teary ones. "I'm sorry Jake. I'm so sorry baby." She sobbed looking down. Looking away, I clicked my tongue not liking the scene.

"Aera let's go home." I strictly said about to get her inside the car but the girl got mad pushed me away harshly causing my eyes to widen at the violence. "How could you do this to me!" She shouted in the middle of the streets as I frowned in confusion. "What do you mean?" She pouted looking at me for a while before lowering her volume.

"You know I love you a lot. Yet you chose her. How could you break my heart like that Jake?" I realised what she was talking about and stayed silent for a while not wanting to talk about this here. "I don't know what you're saying-" but Aera shook her head pushing me lightly again. "Stop denying it. You chose Heejin over me. You broke me apart Jake." She lightly hit me while crying as it pissed me off.

"What about you Aera?" I glared at her holding her hand tightly as she tried to get out of my grip. "Huh? You're hurting me-" I was angry and emo right now. "You always chose Sunghoon over me. You did it again after he came back. You kept breaking my heart and I'm tired of it. And you say I hurt you? Look at us Aera. It's always you hurting me." I spat out the truth in front of her as she froze looking at me. The tears on her eyes weren't stopping at any cost. And I could say she was shocked to hear me. I was shocked myself.

I realised how hard my grip on her hands were and slowly released them as I saw her reddened wrists. Aera was silent for a while as she didn't look at me anymore but on the floor. My entire face had turned red due to the anger as I looked away. Aera fell on her knees as she sobbed slowly making me look down at her. "Did I lose you Jake..." She slowly let it out as I didn't reply to her anymore.

Crouching down, I held her as she looked at my eyes. I noticed those orbs and it broke me apart to see those orbs which were now in fear. Fear of losing me. I didn't say anything and just decided to get her home.
