5. walk home

Sunghoon's POV

"You do realize it's scary standing between two goodlooking and famous guys." Both me and Jake froze hearing it before we broke into laughter leaving the poor girl confused. "Why did it feel so good to hear that when we hear it everyday?" I said out mischievously as Jake laughed along. "Gosh." The girl scoffed pushing us both away as she was about to walk away. "Hey cute girl! What's your name?" Jake shouted as she turned around and gave us a thumbs down sign.

"It's Aera." I said out looking at her back as Jake looked at me. "Aera?" He asked as I nodded. "Yes. Choi Aera. It was written on her id." I answered him as he understood and sighed. "Well anyways let's go back to finding books, shall we?" He said out as I nodded and went back to looking for the books we wanted.

Aera's POV

I ran far away from that specific column of doom as I looked around to find my friends. "Aera!" Heeseung slightly shouted and waved his arms as I found him and quickly walked over to him. "Woah calm down." He said seeing me die for air as I breathed harshly. "Where were you?" He asked as we both walked towards the table and sat down. "Took you both a long time." Sunoo said out yawning.

"Aera got lost and I was searching for her." The oldest said out opening his book as Jay looked at me to continue. "I met Jake and Sunghoon here." I said out as the three immediately eyed me with their big orbs. "What? Park Sunghoon and Sim Jake?" Sunoo said out specifying the two names as I pouted and nodded putting my head on the table. "It isn't a shock to find them here but I still feel shocked I don't know why." Heeseung said out chuckling along with Jay.

"Why were they two together?" I said out as the three looked at me confusingly. "Why? Can't they?" Sunoo said out in the middle of reading his book. "No but the famous guys of the school are usually enemies right cause they have this competition and-"

"Nop nop you're completely wrong here." He cut me off as I perplexedly looked at the three waiting to receive an answer. "Did I not tell you? Jake and Sunghoon, both are best friends. Nothing could seperate those two. They are like the sun and moon." Jay said out going over the pages as I attentively heard about them. "Ahh that's why.." the three nodded as I nodded as well getting back to my book and started reading it.

"I wish I was like one of them. I am jealous as to how perfect they two are." Sunoo mentally day dreamed himself being one of them as I chuckled shrugging it off.

"See ya." Jay said as he went to the other direction to where his house was while I went up the straight similar path. I had an extra period today so most of the students were already gone by the time I was walking home. As a result, the street was empty with barely any people other than my lonely soul who was zoning out. I wasn't exactly excited to go home cause I knew I'd have to see the fights of my parents yet once again but the sight of my scared brother helped me stay on my tracks rather than intentionally getting lost.

It was late noon and the street was deadly quiet making me feel a bit uneasy and scared. And the feeling of someone following me just made it worse. The slow steps and breathes. I could hear and feel it all. "BWAHHHHH!" A scream from behind me scared the shit out of me as I screamed back and turned around to see a familiar human.

There stood Park Sunghoon finding it hard to stand up straight as he laughed out loud after scaring me. "You got so scared." He said out pointing at me in the middle of laughing as I glared at him not finding it funny at all. Not saying anything to him I got back on my track lazily walking as he stopped laughing and ran up to me. "Hi hi sorry if I scared you too bad." He said out chuckling as I scoffed. "Choi Aera is ignoring me? Oh my god." He for sure was a dramatic one.

"How do you know my name?" I asked him sensing the creepy stalker vibes from him. "Cause I'm the creepy stalker you're thinking of right now." He said out making me go pale before letting out a small laugh. "It's on your id idiot." He said out as I realised it. "Ah yes. But why are you following me?" I said out once as Sunghoon stopped and smirked at me. "To kidnap you duh?"

"Not funny."

"Well obviously I am walking to my house. Why'd I follow you?" He said out making it obvious as I nodded getting the point. I sure was slow and dumb. "You're new here right?" He said out as I nodded. And then it was all silent again. "You're a bit dry aren't you?" He said out again bringing me out of my fantasies as I frowned. "Nah I just don't wanna talk right now." I said out simply.

"Why so?"

"Hmm I'm just thinking. Don't mind me." Walking by him we both passed several blocks without noticing it. "You sound stressed." So anyone could figure out how I was feeling without me saying it? I breathed heavily shrugging it off. "Maybe. Whatever." Walking ahead of him I breathed the fresh air not ready to reach home yet. "What is it about?" He asked out curiously as I looked at me thinking whether I should tell him or not.

"Nothing much. Just school stuffs and family issues." He figured it out and continued walking as we reached my house. "Forget the fact that I live here." I said out as he gave me a done look. "Come on I won't kidnap you for real okay." He said out as I chuckled nodding. "I know. Just kidding."

"Thanks for walking me home." I said out as he scoffed. "Sure I'm on my way home but whatever let's you sleep at night cause I never walked you home." He gave me a peace sign quickly passing the road as I laughed it out entering my house only to hear the familiar screams yet once again.
