Date: January 6th
The house was dark. Quiet. All you could hear were the wind chimes outside, the soft whistling of January wind, and the bell on the golden retriever puppy's collar when she walked to get a midnight drink from her water bowl.
The floors were hardwood, the sound of her juvenile paws hitting them was soft, barely audible. In the next room over from the kitchen was a girl's bedroom. She laid there, unconscious as the exhaustion of nonstop labor took over her.
But no matter how tired she was, the sound of blood curdling screams from upstairs woke her up instantly.
"Beomgyu!?" She yelled, throwing her blanket off and running out of her bedroom to get upstairs. The boy was thrashing around in his bed, screaming and crying, and his sister rushed to his side to hug him. "Beomgyu, what happened?!"
"There was someone in here!" He screamed, pointing at the locked window.
The girl walked over to it to try to open it, but it was frozen shut. "I think it was just a nightmare," she said, going back to comforting him. "You need to sleep. You're going back to school tomorrow."
"I know." He sighed and stood up. "Can I sleep in your room?"
"We're both adults now Beomgyu."
"Just let me sleep on the floor or something."
He was terrified. Ari could see that. And she knew that he wouldn't be able to go back to sleep anytime soon. So she agreed, finally letting him lay on the floor in her bedroom.

The first day back from Christmas break was nothing short of confusing. They moved stuff around in the school, and even changed some of their schedules. Beomgyu's got changed, but he just had a few of his classes switched around.
His first one was math, and he went to it as usual. It was always his first class of the day, so it was one of the ones that didn't change. Afterwards, he went to his locker, smiling when he saw his friends down the hall being goofballs with their best friends.
He met Soobin and Kai at the beginning of high school, immediately becoming smitten with their warm and caring nature. They loved him just as much as he loved them, but they had their own group of friends. Beomgyu respected that. Kai was more playful than Soobin, being the younger of the two. But even though Soobin was pretty mature, he could act childish too.
Beomgyu smiled. He loved them.
He looked down at the other end of the hall, seeing the complete opposite of Sookai and their friend group. These people had a scary aura. They were less playful. They were cold. Not necessarily mean, but they were so mature that it made it seem like they didn't settle for idiocracy.
For some reason, these two groups are like "competitors". They're friendly with each other, but you would never see anyone hanging out with both of them. They're just... different.
Both groups have a lot of people. Sookai's has fourteen, and the other one has fourteen. Usually they're not all in the same space though. They mainly just hang out in groups of five.
Right now, other than Soobin and Kai, there was Park Jisung, Choi Jisu, and Shin Ryujin. Soobin and Kai mainly hung out with these three at school, so Beomgyu had kind of become friends with them too. They were kind, playful, just like Beomgyu's friends.
On the other hand, the other group was not. Park Seonghwa, Kim Minjeong, Yu Jimin, Choi Yeonjun, Kang Taehyun, and... Kang Yeosang? When did he join their group?
Beomgyu was confused to say the least, but the realization that Kang Taehyun was staring at him made him nearly die on the spot from embarrassment.
"You have got to stop staring at them," Kai said, walking over with Soobin. "They're... weird."
"Don't call people weird. That's rude," Beomgyu said, making Soobin snort at something he said.
"You know not to talk to them, right?" Soobin asked, looking at Taehyun who was talking with his group again. "Don't."
"I wasn't planning on it. I'm just confused. Why is Yeosang with them now?"
Soobin looked at Kai and shrugged. "I don't know... why does anyone join their group anyway?"
"Touché." Beomgyu watched them walk away to their next class and finished up at his locker before looking at his schedule. Now he had World History next instead of Science, so that was just fun.
Don't get him wrong. He liked the class. But he completely botched the exam before Christmas break. And he was someone who was afraid of facing his teacher after such a bad screw up.
He went to the class and was going to sit in his normal seat, but there were other students in here. A lot of different ones. Sheesh they switched a lot of people's schedules. Someone who he didn't know was in his usual seat so he went to go sit elsewhere, not noticing a pair of eyes that were following him.
The class went by like normal. They just took notes the entire time. It wasn't until everyone was packing up their stuff that his heart crumbled.
"Beomgyu and Taehyun, stay after class please."
Taehyun? Beomgyu looked around, seeing the silver haired boy looking at him. What did he have to do with anything?
Once the bell rang and all the students left, Beomgyu went up to the teacher's desk. "Y-you wanted to talk to me?"
He was nervous. No, his older sister obviously wasn't his parent. But even though he was an adult, she would be mad at him for failing the exam.
"You know what you did, right?" Beomgyu nodded. "Good. Earlier, Taehyun agreed to help tutor you. Would that be something you would want to do?" Beomgyu heard footsteps behind him and shivered.
No, he didn't want to. He didn't want it to be Taehyun. But he needed to get good grades so he could continue practicing music. It was his dream. Something he wanted to work hard for. And he couldn't do that if school was dragging him down.
Plus, he knew Taehyun had some weird knowledge of History. Like... so on point that you could almost say he was there.
"Yes," he sighed.
"Here's my address," Taehyun whispered, handing him a small piece of paper. "Be there at 4:30. I don't like when people are late."
He walked out and the teacher shook her head. "That kid is strange."
Beomgyu nodded and looked down at the paper, his eyes widening. This was a mansion on the other side of town...
How was Beomgyu supposed to get all the way over there by 4:30?

FanficThis story is in English, not Italian lol. Title translation: I Wanted A Black Cat Choi Beomgyu x Kang Taehyun -A Vampire AU with some parts (a lot of parts) based off of Twilight. Also yes, it is VERY cliché, but Taegyuists need vampires sometimes...
