5. Juliet

A/N: There is a part of this chapter that is mainly like a part from the first Twilight movie lol.

"Look what the bat dragged in," Chenle said, making Taehyun roll his eyes.

"How stupid can you guys be? Really? Just because you're mad, you turn into a wolf in front of an unknowing human?" Taehyun looked at Jaemin, and the wolf huffed before walking into the woods.

"Wait, wha-" Beomgyu looked at all of them in confusion, and then looked at Taehyun. "Are they werewolves or something?" Taehyun nodded. "And... you knew about them?"

"Yes," Kai came out of the house and walked over to Beomgyu and Taehyun. "This is why I told you not to come over again."

Beomgyu's eyes widened. "Y-you're one of them too?!"

Kai nodded. "So is Soobin. He and Jeno really were play fighting. The scratches are claw marks. Soobin just had a rough day yesterday. He's the alpha. He can beat Jeno's ass when he really wants to." Jeno rolled his eyes and stood up.

"I guess so. I'm sorry for beating up your friend Beomgyu."

Beomgyu looked down, still not believing everything. Yes, he just saw a human turn into a wolf. That part wasn't that surprising as he was always intrigued with monster lore.

But how could Soobin and Kai keep it a secret from him?

He shook his head and stormed away back into the house, making Kai sigh.

"I'll go talk to him," Taehyun said. "Lucifer knows how terrified he is of you right now."

He walked toward the house and Kai chuckled. "You vampires and your obsession with Hell."

"Beomgyu," Taehyun said, sitting next to him on the couch. "You're not scared, are you?"

Beomgyu's eyes widened and he looked over at him. "You're one of them?"

Taehyun quickly shook his head. "Hell no. I hate those dogs." Beomgyu looked down. "I don't hate them. I just don't like dogs. I'm more of a cat person. I remember I had a dog one time. I took care of it obviously, but back then, I wanted a black cat. I still want one now."

That was random.

"I have a dog... her name's Juliet."

"You like Shakespeare?"

Beomgyu shrugged. "I just like the name Juliet." Taehyun laughed a little bit, making Beomgyu do so too. "Are the wolves dangerous?"

Taehyun nodded. "They can be sometimes."

"Why didn't you tell me about them?"

"It's not my business to tell."

Beomgyu nodded, obviously understanding. But there was something still off about Taehyun, even though he said he wasn't one of them. He had brown eyes, and he seemed kind of normal.

Besides his strangely mature dialect for a nineteen year old, what was off about him?

"What happened to your dog?" He asked.

"He died of old age. That was a while ago though."

"How did your parents die?"

"I told you. Natural causes."

"But you said it happened years ago. They couldn't have been that old when you were born. So I assume it wasn't natural causes."

Taehyun nodded, but didn't push the conversation, making Beomgyu confused. Suddenly, there was a loud crash from in front of the house and they both got up to see, Beomgyu starting to freak out.

"That's my car!" He yelled when someone crashed into it. He ran outside, Taehyun following him to go see what happened. "Are you okay?" He asked the driver, but the man was unconscious.

The next few moments were in slow motion. Beomgyu felt like his life got sucked out of his body when there was another car that was out of control and was coming straight at him. He closed his eyes, expecting it to all be over.

But...

Nothing happened.

He opened his eyes and gasped. Taehyun, who was right next to him the entire time, had his hand out, pressed against the car that was about to hit him.

There was a huge dent in it.

Taehyun stopped it.

A car that weighed nearly 3,000 pounds.

He stopped it with his bare hands.

A look of fear washed over Taehyun, and he stood up, going into the woods before disappearing completely.

"Beomgyu, are you okay?!" Kai asked, running out to him with everybody else following him. He was shaking, both for the fact that he almost died, and that he witnessed the impossible.

But then again, werewolves were impossible too.

As he sat in the back of an ambulance and cops arrested multiple drunk drivers, including the one who was unconscious, Beomgyu stared at the ground and thought about everything that happened.

Taehyun wasn't human.
