35. Black Cat

"I think it's snowing," Beomgyu said, looking outside. "It looks like it is."

"Cool," Taehyun whispered, tangling his body with Beomgyu's and closing his eyes. "We should go to the living room in a few hours-"

"Up, up, up!" Wooyoung opened their door and yelled. He left, leaving the door open, and Taehyun sighed, laying his head on Beomgyu's chest.

"Come on. We gotta go." Taehyun whined and didn't move, holding Beomgyu down so he couldn't get up. "Taeee."

"No." Taehyun pouted. "We need to be alone. I miss this."

He laid his head in the crook of Beomgyu's neck and the boy giggled at the feeling of his breath. "They're all going to the living room though. We should go."

Taehyun reluctantly got up and latched onto Beomgyu as they left. He had become very clingy all of a sudden.

"I'm gonna get your present later," Beomgyu and Taehyun said at the same time, and they both started laughing, catching the attention of everybody.

"Your sister and the wolves will be here in a little bit," Mingi said, making Beomgyu's eyes widen.

"My sister's coming? But I thought-"

"It's fine," Seonghwa said. "If she finds out, then so be it."

Beomgyu nodded, still a little nervous though. They all sat there talking, a few of them having gifts for the younger vampires since they've experienced less Christmases. Yes, getting Beomgyu presents was last minute because they hated him last night, but they did get him some stuff, and he loved them.

They were all sitting around talking for a little bit until someone knocked on the door, and in walked Ari. She said hi to all of them with a smile and then saw Beomgyu.

"What are you doing here?" She asked, genuinely curious because she hadn't seen him in forever.

"I'm back."

"Where did you go?"

Beomgyu looked at Seonghwa and the older only shrugged. "It's your choice whether you want her to know or not."

"Beomgyu, slow down!" She yelled as he jumped on top of buildings.

"What? Are you scared?" He laughed, stopping on a tall one.

"No..." she looked around and shook her head. "This is insane. Why didn't you tell me before?"

He set her down and looked out at the snowy streets. "They said it would be too dangerous. But Seonghwa said it's okay now."

She nodded and also looked out. "Are you gonna leave at some point?"

"Well now that you know, I don't really have to."

"So you're immortal now... what do you want to do?"

He shrugged and stepped on the ledge. "I don't know. There's a lot to do. I'm kind of scared about it. Losing you and everything."

"It'll be okay," she said, gasping when he fell over the edge. "Beomgyu!"

It was a cool feeling. Doing something that would kill him if he was human. He laughed as he fell, the cold air like needles on his skin. He felt happy though. It was definitely strange.
