8. Not The Cute Ones

They made it to the group's house and Beomgyu suddenly felt worried. Like he was entering the house of a family of cannibals.

Well that was literally what they were...

"You guys don't... hurt humans, do you?"

Yeonjun looked at him and smiled. "Not the cute ones." Beomgyu's eyes widened and Yeonjun started laughing before opening the front door. "Not the innocent ones. Only rapists and abusers."

Beomgyu nodded. "Nice..." he followed him inside, realizing something that confused him. "If there are so many of you, how come there's never multiple in the main area?"

"Well we all have rooms, and there's a pool, hot tub, gaming room, and library amongst other things. We usually hang out in the gaming room since new stuff is fascinating to people born hundreds of years ago. Let me show you." Beomgyu followed him down the hall, opening a door to a big room that looked like an arcade. Most of the vampires were in here playing games, and Beomgyu's heart started racing, catching the attention of Yeonjun. "You might wanna calm down. We can all hear your heartbeat."

Well that wasn't terrifying at all.

Beomgyu calmed down a little bit, thinking that if they were gonna hurt him, they would've done it by now. He looked around, gulping when he saw Seonghwa looking at him, his arm wrapped around his boyfriend. But he looked away, back at the screen where Yizhuo and Jongho were playing an online shooting game.

"They've been playing a lot of games to take their minds off of Taehyun. And since I'm his best friend, I've been trying to find him. Do you know where he could be?" Yeonjun asked.

Beomgyu shook his head. "No. I didn't really learn that much about him. Just the basics." Yeonjun nodded in understanding.

"Tell your mom I said hi!" Yizhuo furiously yelled into the headset and all of them started laughing.

"She's the second youngest out of all of us," Yeonjun whispered to Beomgyu. "She became a vampire just ten years ago. She's twenty-eight years old in total."

"Who's the youngest?"

Yeonjun shook his head, being forbidden to tell him that information, and Beomgyu looked down.

He missed Taehyun.

For some reason, he missed the vampire who he just started talking to a few days ago.

Date: January 14th

Beomgyu was still lonely at school. But walking around, knowing the biggest secret ever, he felt a sense of superiority over his classmates. Maybe he could go to that party. Invite his friends. Or just go alone.

Maybe if someone were to try to hurt him, he knew fourteen vampires and fourteen werewolves, and he would be protected.

He had never been to a high school party. He never felt the need to go to one, as he didn't think they would be fun. But when he saw that girl from a couple of days ago, he told her he would go.

There was no harm in a little party. If everyone else went to these things safely, he could too.

And maybe it would get his mind off Taehyun.
