40. Magic Island

The fight was grueling for most of them. None of them were seriously injured yet a few minutes in, which was really surprising because it was the Advictoriam. But it was also very relieving.

They had numbers already, since Beomgyu and Yeosang knew nearly everything there was to know about the Advictoriam. They knew most of their fighting styles and how to stop them. The advantage seemed way too angering for the other team.

A loud thud and whimpering was heard, and Beomgyu looked at the silver wolf who was thrown against a tree.

"Huening Kai!" He screamed, running over to pet the quivering animal. "Turn back into a human and I'll quickly carry you to your house so you can rest." Kai did, soon being set in his soft bed. "Do you need anything?"

"I need you to survive this Beomgyu, please. And protect Soobin. I need both of you."

Beomgyu nodded, kissing his forehead before running out. He saw that everyone had evacuated the big park now and ran over to continue fighting, only realizing after a little bit that his sister was thrashing around on the ground.

"No no no," he said, running over after seeing the bite on her shoulder. It was a bite from an underage vampire. He could tell. The Advictoriam must have a new member that hasn't taken the potion yet. "Ari..."

She tried to focus her blurry eyes on him. "It hurts," she choked out.

"I know..." he looked at his very vibrant blue veins and grabbed Ari's wrist. "I'll make it better, okay?" She nodded, screaming out in pain when he bit her. After a little while, he let her go and brought her to the vampires' house to set her on the couch.

She was already dead, and seeing her skin becoming paler and not being able to hear her heartbeat anymore was horrifying to him. But he knew she would be okay because he did take that potion when he was in the Advictoriam.

When he got back, he looked down, just wanting it to stop at this point. He was tired of running back and forth and fighting, and everyone else was too. He was suddenly thrown somewhere, trying to fight the person on top of him, but it was no use.

His mouth fell open in a silent scream as a wooden stake stabbed his chest, dangerously close to his heart. "Beomgyu!" Yeonjun screamed, running over and killing the other vampire himself. He looked at Beomgyu and then ran away, thinking that it stabbed him in the heart.

"When we go through this tunnel. When we open our eyes. Our dreams become reality. Be my forever. Call my name. Run away, run away, run away with me," Beomgyu whispered, staring up at the sky as the world turned to even more chaos around them since they all thought he was dead.

He couldn't feel anything, couldn't move. He was too focused on staring up at the sky to think about anything.

Until...

"Take me to that magic island." He turned his head and saw Taehyun on the ground, a vampire baring her fangs and pulling his wrist up.
