20. High School

A/N: I hope it's not bothersome that Ateez are also kind of main characters in this. I should've just made all of the TXT members vampires, but it's too late unfortunately lol.

Date: Still January 26th

"Yeonjun, do you know why my powers could be not working?" Taehyun asked when he and Beomgyu got back to the vampires' house.

"Well you can't just stop being a vampire, so that's not the case. Maybe you're not thinking correctly." Taehyun nodded. "Where's Seonghwa?"

"Italy," Taehyun answered, confusing Yeonjun.

"Why?"

"We have a newborn in case you forgot. He has to take Yeosang there."

"But why so early?"

Taehyun had been wondering that too, but it wasn't Seonghwa's choice anyway. It was theirs. He was just wondering why Yeosang was going so early.

Date: January 27th

"Hey Seonghwa!" Beomgyu greeted happily, eating his food at the counter when the vampire entered.

"Hey." Seonghwa squinted his eyes as Beomgyu never really treated him to kindness.

They were just... awkward, understandably.

"Where's Yeosang?"

Seonghwa bit his lip and then shook his head. "You'll find out."

Beomgyu didn't know what the Advictoriam were. Taehyun hadn't mentioned it to him at all, and he wasn't planning to. He didn't keep Beomgyu in the shadows when it came to a lot of things.

The Advictoriam was something that would terrify him though.

"What do you mean?"

"Stop talking. There's a human," he said, looking at the hall where Ari entered from. "You're Beomgyu's sister?"

She nodded. "Ari. Nice to meet you." She shook his hand, gasping at how cold it was and quickly pulling it back. "Sorry." She shook her head and chuckled a bit. "I- I don't know why..."

"It's alright," Seonghwa said, going to get a metal water bottle from the fridge.

"How old are you?" She was smiling and Beomgyu rolled his eyes, knowing exactly where this was going.

"I'm 823 years old and my boyfriend's a newborn." He knew how bad it sounded, but both of them started laughing and Beomgyu's eyes widened. "No no, in all seriousness, I'm twenty-three and my boyfriend is twenty-two."

"You go to high school?"

"No. But Taehyun is younger than Beomgyu, so they know each other from high school."

It was kind of terrifying how good of a liar Seonghwa was. Beomgyu guessed it was probably because he had 800 years to figure out everything. What to say to humans in certain situations being one of them. Seonghwa strangely was going to high school, but again Beomgyu just guessed it was to pass time and cure his boredom

"So... you have a boyfriend?" She asked and Beomgyu rolled his eyes again in second-hand embarrassment.

"Yes. I am pansexual though so if it doesn't work out, I'll let you know."

Taehyun told Beomgyu that most vampires were pansexual switches. After years and years, they would end up experimenting and most likely having fun with other genders and new things. Most of the time, it was with a human, even though it could be dangerous.

Ari walked away to go to the gaming room where some of the others were and Beomgyu looked at Seonghwa, gasping when the vampire was already staring at him with blood on his mouth.

"Does your sister have friends?" Beomgyu nodded. "I hate stereotypes Beomgyu, but you will not tell her about us. From my experience, girls tend to tell their best friend about it, and then they tell their best friend about it, and the list goes on and on. And you know what happens then?"

"What?"

"The Advictoriam will kill all of them, including you and your sister... if they find out that you know about us."

"Who's the Advictoriam?"

"Taehyun didn't tell you?" Beomgyu shook his head. "It's probably for a reason."
