27. Let's Date

Date: May 16th

Beomgyu ended up alternating between living with his sister and the vampires'. She didn't really mind since he was an adult and could do whatever he wanted. Plus, she agreed that they needed some time away from each other, so it all worked out in the end.

"No, take this," Yeonjun said, handing Beomgyu a property card.

"But I didn't buy this!"

"We have to trade!"

"That doesn't make any sense! Why do we have to trade?! I don't wanna trade!" He went to grab his property back from Yeonjun and the older snatched it.

"What's wrong with you?!" He asked and all of them started dying of laughter, including Beomgyu.

After an hour longer of a few of them playing an excruciating game of Monopoly, they went into their separate rooms and Beomgyu was laughing as he flopped on Taehyun's bed.

"What happened?" Taehyun chuckled, setting his book down on the nightstand.

"We just played Monopoly. It was fun. Taehyun, is it weird that my eyes feel tired?"

Taehyun shook his head. "Every once in a while, we need to rest our eyes for a little bit. Like every couple months or so. You can."

Beomgyu laid his head on the pillow to close his eyes and Taehyun pulled out his phone to go on it. But there was knocking at his door that leads to the backyard and went to open it, closing it behind him when he saw that it was just Seonghwa and Yeosang.

"What is it?" He asked.

"An Advictoriam saw him with us. They want him to go to them," Yeosang said, and Taehyun turned to look at Beomgyu through the window.

"He doesn't want to join them."

"We know. I think they changed the system though," Seonghwa said reassuringly.

"You think?"

"I know, okay? We'll take him soon. Or they'll come here to get him. Either way, there's no way of getting out of this Taehyun."

He sighed and went back inside to get ready for "bed", putting on a white t-shirt and laying next to Beomgyu. When the boy smelled the lavender, he quickly rolled over and cuddled into Taehyun's side, nuzzling his face into his shoulder.

"You okay?" Taehyun asked.

"Yeah. My eyes are just tired."

Taehyun nodded and rubbed his back to sooth him more, staring off into space and thinking. He didn't want to bring him. He didn't want them to come here. He really just wanted to run and hide Beomgyu far away in a safe place. Beomgyu wouldn't join them. Taehyun didn't join them, so his only fear was that they would do the same things to Beomgyu that they did to him.

"Please," Taehyun cried, pulling against the restraints on his wrists as the older vampires tied him to a chair. "Please let me go back to him. I wanna go back to him- ahh!" He screamed when a bolt of electricity ran through his body.

Vampires could survive extreme cold and electricity, which would be the two main things they tortured him with for the next week, as it still hurt equally as bad.

Date: May 17th

"You wanna get a tattoo?" Taehyun asked and Beomgyu nodded.

"Yeah. Like... I know what I want, but it's a surprise."

"Have you thought about this?" Beomgyu nodded again.

"And I already have a place picked out. I saved up my allowance from Seonghwa's rich ass," he laughed a little bit and Taehyun agreed to drive him.

He's not necessarily against them, but he was a kid hundreds of years ago. They never had them, and when they did, tattoos were frowned upon by a lot of people. And they still were.

A couple hours later, Beomgyu came out of the room limping and Taehyun's eyes widened. "What did you get?"

"I got it just over my belly button," he laughed a little bit and Taehyun sighed.

"Then how am I going to see it?"

"That's the point. You're not gonna see it until we have sex again." He dragged Taehyun out to the car and the older rolled his eyes.

"That's petty."

"It's a special tattoo," he said, wincing when he had to flex his body at all. "And vampires heal quicker, so we'll only have to wait like a week to have sex again." He giggled and Taehyun shook his head while he started driving.

"That special to you, huh?" Beomgyu nodded and looked down at his hand that Taehyun had grabbed. "Let's date."

Beomgyu's eyes widened, not expecting it to be so straightforward. It did make sense though. They obviously had something. Everyone knew that.

And Beomgyu just got a tattoo slightly dedicated to him and their kind in general.

"Yeah. Let's date." He smiled, squeezing Taehyun's hand tighter as they drove home.
