Hey!
So I'm in an exceptionally and quite infrequent good mood and there's a lot lot lot of reasons why, but I'm just starting to realise.

So I'm on my way halfway up my country with a load of friends for a hockey match and it's one day before my birthday. We've just stopped at a popular centre where I was surprised with cupcakes and my friends serenading me with an eye-watering rendition of "Happy Birthday To You" in front of Starbucks. We've just had two hours to go shopping and get lunch and I'm just after purchasing a beautiful pale blue jumper with money I was surprised with this morning from my mum and Grandad. Now, on a chatter-filled noisy bus, I'm typing this on a brand-new gorgeous iPod I received earlier this week from my dad and listening to state-of-the-art albums with Pringles on my breath and an unfaltering smile on my face.

In the past hour I've been thinking a lot about positive things overcoming the few negatives. I know sometimes I've felt like on a scale of 1-10 bad things are an 8 and good things are a 2 but over the past few weeks I've been teaching myself a good amount of things to be the carefree annoying idiot I once was instead of the overthinking self-conscious mouse-in-the-corner. I woke up at 3am this morning with dread in the pit of my stomach because I didn't have anyone to sit with and was afraid of being a loner sitting behind my friends but it turned out one of my friends didn't have a partner either so now we've been having a great time, swapping music and talking about TV shows with the sun shining on our faces.

I'm not sure what the 'message' of this is, honestly. I just wanted to show you guys that even if you think something's going to be a nightmare there is always a positive. You just have to try to see it. If you succumb yourself to darkness only you can be the one to see the bright side, you just have to let yourself. Count the positives you have in your life and write them on paper and stick them on the wall to wake up to every day, even if you can only count them on one hand, they are what you have to focus on. Even if it's only something like, "I can see the sun everyday," that's freaking GREAT. You can see it!! You're not locked in a dark room for days on end!! And how about the device you're reading this on? If you're annoyed that's it's an iPod 3, what are you complaining about? Your family has the money to get one for you, and kudos to you for keeping it in immaculate condition! (Well, maybe not immaculate, but you get what I mean). You go, girlfriend. The little things for you can be the biggest things to other people.
