Howard got out of his room dressed for the day and made his way to his lab expecting Dottie to be there as she always wake up before him. "Where's Dottie?" Howard asked seeing Jarvis inside placing Howard's coffee on the table
"She's on the living room sir talking on the phone with someone" Jarvis answered as Howard looks around the lab seeing everything cleaned up "she cleaned everything in here fast" Howard grins amazed
"Not really sir, Miss Aimsworth just woke up very early, she's actually been on the phone for like 30 minutes now" Jarvis explained making Howard nod "maybe its chief Dooley telling her things about work" he stated looking at his projects
"I don't think so, I heard her call him Jame-" Jarvis didn't get to finish the name of the person that Dottie was talking with as Howard quickly made his way out of the lab. Jarvis blinked twice and shakes his head "the genius himself is also a runner"
Howard stood by the entrance of the living room spotting Dottie on the phone smiling widely and letting out chuckles. "I'll see you then James" Dottie stated before ending the call
"As far as I can remember his first name is Sergeant" Howard spoke from behind her making her turn and look at him with her eyebrows raised but still smiling widely "were you eavesdropping on my conversation?" Dottie asked.
"Weren't you supposed to be on the lab with me?" Howard asked "work starts at 8 in the morning dear" Dottie reminds him in a mocking tone making the man roll his eyes "its 7: 50 Dottie let's do work now" he stated leaving her in the room to head back to the lab
After hours of working together on the lab, Dottie looked around seeing her work is done making her smile proudly to herself. Looking down at her wristwatch, her eyes widen as realization hit her that she have somewhere to be in a few minutes. Rushing to her room, she changed into another dress of hers and applied a lipstick on her lips
"Howard" Dottie walked back into lab and standing in front of him gaining his attention "need anything?" he asked studying the girl all dressed up. "I'm going out" she smiled at him "want me to come with you?" he asked. "I'm actually going out with James" she stated
Howard shifted from his seat and got up standing in front of her with his hands on his pockets "there's still an hour left for work to finish" he grins at her. "I've finished everything you asked me to do" Dottie smiled "I heard that you love cooking so why dont you make us dinn-" Howard reasoned but she cuts him off
"I was actually supposed to but Ana insisted she will make dinner tonight so" Dottie shrugs. As Howard was about to make another reason Jarvis came inside the lab "Miss Aimsworth someone named James is outside waiting for you" Jarvis explained gaining a nod from Dottie then a glare from Howard "gotta go" Dottie smiled making her way out
"Seems like she's going out for a date" Jarvis spoke gaining another glare from Howard making him look around the lab before leaving the room awkwardly
"I thought you sleep at 9" Dottie muttured as she saw Howard on the living room reading a newspaper "I do, just got woken up" Howard lied after he have been pacing around the whole house waiting for her to be back
"What did you both do on your date night for a whole 5 hours" Howard asked placing his newspaper down "well we ate, then go to the cinemas, walked around the cit-" Dottie smiled telling him every detail before he cuts her off "sounds boring" Howard muttured making her raise her eyebrows
"Not to me, it was actually one of the best nights I had" Dottie smiled at him making him roll his eyes and let's out a groan "what's with the attitude grandpa" Dottie asked poking chest only for him to slap her hand away making her chuckle before looking around sniffing
"Do you smell that? she asked making him look at her confused smelling nothing but her sweet perfume "smell what?" he asked confused. She looked back at him smiling "I smell jealousy" she chuckled ruffling his hair and getting a glare from him
"Chief Dooley called, he wants us both on the SSR headquarters tomorrow" Howard told her before getting up to head back to his room "will James be there?" she asked with a clear sound of teasing on her voice "not that I'd ask. We're going for work not for some fling or whatever you two have" Howard replied clearly annoyed then walks towards his room leaving Dottie on the living room chuckling to herself
"Howard Stark never gets jealous my ass" she chuckled getting up to head towards her room.
