"So Grams is telling me we're psychic. Our ancestors were from Salem, witches and all that, I know, crazy, but she's going on and on about it, and I'm like, put this woman in a home already! But then I started thinking, I predicted Obama and I predicted Heath Ledger, and I still think Florida will break off and turn into little resort islands...Elena! Back in the car."Alisha looked up from her phone at her sister.
Bonnie had been going on in the car, trying to make conversation with Elena who didn't seem to be paying attention at all.
Alisha had stretched her neck out the minute they had gotten to Elena's house looking for Jeremy. But the minute Elena told her that Jeremy had already left, she had sunk back into the seat and completely tuned out Bonnie and Elena's conversation as well.
Elena sat up in the passenger seat and offered Bonnie an apologetic look.
"I did it again, didn't I? I--I'm sorry, Bonnie. You were telling me that..."
"That I'm psychic now." Bonnie spoke.
She was trying to keep a smile on her face but Alisha could tell that she was worried.
Alisha was too. Elena had always been like an older sister to her. And she could tell that she wasn't quite herself.
"Right. Okay, then predict something. About me." Elena spoke trying to play along.
"I see..." Bonnie started playfully.
The next thing the girls knew, something slammed into the windshield of the car.
Alisha yelped from the back seat as Bonnie swerved a little before regaining control of the car and stopping it.
"Oh my gosh, what was that?" Alisha asked.
Bonnie ran a hand down her face.
"I- I..." she turned to look at Alisha. "Are you okay?"
Alisha nodded. "I'm fine." She reassured her.
Bonnie turned to Elena as if just realising how traumatising this must have been for Elena.
"Oh, my gosh! Elena, are you okay?"
"It's okay. I'm fine." Elena spoke waving Bonnie off.
Alisha also looked on in concern.
"It was like a bird or something. It came out of nowhere." Bonnie tried to explain, her pulse still racing from what had just happened.
"Really, I can't be freaked out by cars for the rest of my life." Elena explained, taking in a deep breath.
Bonnie held on to Elena's hand as a form of comfort.
"I predict this year is going to be kick ass. And I predict all the sad and dark times are over and you are going to be beyond happy." She told her.
Alisha smiled at the sight of the best friends.
But as Bonnie started driving again, she caught sight of a black crow on top of a road sign and she got a weird feeling that sent a chill down her spine."

Sasha couldn't help but revel in the attention she was receiving as she walked into school in between Tyler and Matt.
Everyone always stared and she was used to it.
That's what happened when you looked as good as her.
"I'm telling you man, Beachwood had no idea what he was doing down there. The whole game was a fluke!" Tyler yelled angrily as he and Matt argued over a football game that Sasha had no interest in.
