Sasha kept tossing and turning in bed. She barely slept, waking up every minute because she kept seeing Vicki in her nightmares.

In the end she decided that it was no use forcing herself back to sleep.

She got up and picking up the journal that Grams had given her from her last visit. The ones with a couple of protective spells Grams had insisted she know.

She hadn't told Bonnie about it because she hadn't told Bonnie about Vampires. And she honestly didn't want to. Especially if it meant she'd be in danger.

Sasha sighed. But it would have been nice to share some of this with someone.

Bonnie wasn't even around, she had left the night before to visit their Grams. She had asked Sasha to come with but Sasha had made up a lame excuse hoping Bonnie wouldn't get suspicious.

Sasha felt so alone. She talked to Elena sure, but Elena seemed not to want to relive the moment at all.

Matt was obviously a no go area and she couldn't even take her mind off with fooling around with Tyler because he had gone on some hunting trip with his father.

She was all alone with her secrets and her thoughts.

"Morning Sash." Alisha greeted in a chirpy voice as she picked out a tray of eggs from the fridge.

"Morning baby." Rudy was digging around for a pan in the cupboard. "How'd you sleep?"

Not at all. Sasha wanted to say but she just found herself forcing a smile.

"Great. What's going on in here?" She asked as she slid into the island seat

"We're making hash browns." Alisha announced as she fished for some potatoes on the vegetable rack.

"Sounds yummy." Sasha commented. Her eyes were fixed on Alisha. Just a day ago, she had been helplessly bawling in her arms.

Now she seemed like her normal bubbly self.

"Only if dad doesn't burn anything this time." Alisha spoke, narrowing her eyes at her father." Rudy raised his hands in defences

"I'm just a sous chef today."

"Perfect." Alisha sang. "Peel these potatoes for me, please."

"Yes chef." Rudy spoke shooting her a mock salute.

Sasha smiled at them.

Her family was safe and happy. That was worth the lies, right?

"What do you girls have planned for today?" Rudy asked randomly.

"Jeremy and I are studying at his house. We have a quiz tomorrow." Alisha announced.

"Studying, huh?" Rudy spoke.

"Daddy!" Alisha yelled, her cheeks tinting pink.

Sasha had noticed how a lot of her sister's jovial behaviour surrounded Jeremy.

They had been talking more lately, that was for sure.

"Just make sure you're back before curfew." Rudy spoke.

"I always am." Alisha sighed.

Rudy turned to his oldest daughter. "What do you have planned for today? Hanging out with Matthew?"

"Oh - no." Sasha spoke.

Rudy looked confused.

"I was actually gonna hang out with another friend." Sasha spoke, getting to her feet quickly before Rudy started asking questions.
