Sasha felt bad about leaving the dance early.

Not because of her date. Because let's face it, Tyler had been eyeing a cute girl the whole time and he hadn't minded Sasha leaving so that he could focus on getting her number.

No, she had felt bad because she knew Elena and Stefan had still been looking out for the new vamp. She wanted to stay and help but Bonnie had asked her to come with her and Caroline.

Bonnie knew that the only reason Caroline had wanted to go to the Grill was because Matt would be working there and she didn't want to be the third wheel.

Sasha, however knew that she was probably going to be the one who ended up as the third wheel because it had become apparent to her that Bonnie had only wanted to go to the Grill because of her own crush.

The guy, Ben from earlier.

Sasha knew Bonnie to be confident and cool. But even she needed her sister as a cheerleader and supporter when it came to things like boys.

So she had tagged along.

Bonnie and Sasha had told Ali to call them when she was ready to leave. Even if she got a ride with one of her friends. They just wanted to know when she had left and when she would be arriving home. You could never be too careful anymore.

"Maybe we should have changed first." Sasha spoke when they walked into the Grill.

"Uh, no." Caroline spoke. "You look hot. We all do. We need at least a dozen more people to see us and the work we put into all this."

"Let's sit up there." Bonnie spoke up suddenly as she tugged on Caroline's arm urging her to a table closer to the front.

Caroline didn't budge and instead crossed her arms.

"Be a little more obvious, Bonnie." She spoke in a teasing voice.

Sasha looked up and saw Ben serving a table close to the front.

"Oh." She spoke giving her sister a playful smile.

"Don't rain on my hot-guy parade." Bonnie spoke defensively.

"What? It's just a drizzle. Ben McKittrick? Really?" Caroline asked.

"He's hot." Bonnie spoke.

"He's a washed-up jock who pours drinks for a living. You could do way better." Caroline spoke.

"Wow, way harsh, Care." Sash spoke not expecting something that rude to come out of her mouth. But then again, this was Caroline.

At that moment, Matt walked past them.

Caroline immediately perked up.

"Hey." She greeted.

Matt didn't even stop to look at her.

"What's up?" He spoke in a monotone voice.

Sasha saw Caroline's smile falter. And the blonde deflate.

"He's probably busy with work." Sasha spoke shrugging it off.

"Now come on."

She directed the two to a table where they had a good view of Ben behind the bar.

Caroline leaned forward and placed her chin in the palm of her hand. "Tonight was so much better on paper."

"Ah, you're just feeling sorry for yourself." Bonnie spoke, still shooting sideway glances at Ben. "Go and talk to him. Be bold and fearless."

"Yeah, this coming from the girl who's been eye stalking the bartender." Caroline scoffed.

Bonnie looked at Caroline offended. Then she looked at Sasha who simply shrugged. "She's got a point."
