CHAPTER NINETEEN
Judgement
When Adamaris woke up, Mama was crying so hard. Adamaris then began to act more unusual. She doesn't remember why she's in the hospital. She doensn't remember what happened. I was so scared that she lost her memories, but then a relief came when she recognized all of us.
But even though she recognized us, what's more unusual is that... she doesn't ask about Crest, it was strange because I thought that he would be the first one she would look for, but instead she looked only for Clea and Caius and those who wasn't with her before the accident. Ayoko ko ring bangitin ang pangalan niya dahil sinabihan na din kami ng doctor to be careful of the things we ask.
But mommy slip. When she said that Crest, Clea and Caius would be happy to know she's fine.
Binantayan ko ang expression ni Adamaris. At first she smiled, but then her brow furrowed. Nanahimik siya sandali. And then...
"Crest?"
Bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko. Bigla ay parang hindi ako makahinga.

"Who's Crest?" Nanlaki ang mata ko.

Adamaris smile. "Hmm. Am I allowed to eat a strawberry cake?"
I smiled and caress her cheek. I lean in and whisper. "Of course, even if you're not, you know I got your back." Bulong ko sa kanya. She giggle and then slowly, she closed her eyes while still smiling.
"She had the symptoms of a systemized amnesia..." Mahinahong sambit ng doctor
"It's when patients forget specific categories of information, such as all information about an individual..."
"This amnesia covers only certain classes of information, such as all memories related to a location or a person in their past..."
The doctors keep on explaning everything related to what happened with Adamaris. But the all I could I process is that she maybe forgot about Crest existence in her life! Mabilis ang paghinga ko. I don't know what to do.
What the fuck? What the actual fuck!? Is that even possible?!
There's a treatment that could make her remember things, a therapy. That's what the doctor suggested. I was gonna go with it. She needs it.
But then...
But when I look at Adamaris through the door's glass. sleeping peacefully, with bandage on her head, bandages on her wounds and bruises, and a cast on her left arm. An idea came to mind. A cruel idea.
"N-no." Napatingin sila mommy sakin.
Dahan dahan akong naglakad palapit sa kanila.
"What if we don't want her to remember...?"
